Drain pump won't turn off, all lights are blinking

\015 The garbage disposal backed up into the dishwasher and the drain pump came on. All the water is now drained out, but the pump won't turn off and all the lights on the front are blinking. How do I reset this?\015

Answers :

Try pushing the cancel button. Try holding the cancel button down. If it'll let you select a cycle, try running a cycle. Try putting a large volume of water in there. It might either clear the pump or it will "see" the water going out be satisfied. If it remembers the cycle you last ran, or which cycle you usually run, run a cycle that it's not used to. That helps clear the computer some dishwashers. Failing that, try turning the circuit breaker off for a minute. Press every button on the dishwasher. There's a chance that that will help drain any power stored, making the computer forget what condition it was in. Failing that, try turning the circuit breaker off or for a day or two. Failing that, if you know what you're doing and you're not worried about voiding the warranty, open up the control panel where the main circuit board is. We can assume that if it remembered this cycle with the power turned off for a while that there's a battery in there to keep from clearing the memory. Find the little button cell battery and take it out for a few minutes. Then put it back in and turn the power on. There may a reset button hidden inside there or somewhere else on the machine. Find the manual at home or on the internet and look in the troubleshooting section. There might be a specific button combination to clear that condition.\015\012
\015\012To keep this from happening in the future, pick up and install a dishwasher air gap for around $15. It's really easy and keeps water from backing up into the dishwasher. They're actually required in a lot of cities.

It appears to finish it's cycle, as far as the dishes are clean - however there is clean water that has pooled on the bottom. you can hear the water fresh coming in - the pump comes on for a few minutes, drains some of the water and shuts off - the pump comes on again - drains some of the water and turns off. I turned the water going into the dishwater off - the pump ran for a few minutes - drained some of the water and then just sits there with the red power light on - there is still the same

I have a Gallery 900 series GLDB958AS dishwasher. The cycle status lights (just right of the "time remaining" status window) continually blink. None of the buttons on the front panel work and every 10 minutes or so the water pump starts up for about a minute then shuts off. No water enters the dishwasher. I tried turning the power off then on but there is no change. Every so often a random cycle light will blink or light up for a minute, then turns off.

My Bosh Model# SHE4AM02UC/01 Is not cycling. Started with the soap dispenser not opening, progressed to the drain pump not staying on. When you turn it on, the pump runs for 2 seconds. water solenoid opens for another two seconds, and then the "clean" light comes on. If I go to quick wash, or to pot scrubber it might do a regular cycle. I did pull the pump to remove a piece of glass before this all started, but can't imagine that would be the cause.
