Having problems with your Asko Dishwashers ?

Ok, after a year, I've figured out the problem. I changed a bunch of parts, but never until now figured out that what it is doing is, water is running out the hole behind the door, where the overflow dripguard sits, if the front three panels are on. when those panels are on, water, just before position 6, pours down that plastic dripguard piece, into the big tray. eventually the tray overflows. when you take off the panels, then water just pours onto the floor. if you open the DW, the basin is t

It could be as simple as the float switch inside the wash tub. Usually they are located just inside the bottom front edge of the dishwasher. Some of these are loose and others are enclosed inside another cover.
\015\012You may have to remove a cover to get at the float. Basically, the float is designed to float up when enough water has flowed into the dishwasher. Sometimes thou, gunk can get built up inside the bottom of the float and cause it be heavier than it should be, which causes the float (water level) switch to not shut off the water until too much water has been drawn into the dishwasher.
\015\012If a good cleaning of the float doesn't solve the problem, you can get at the float switch by removing the front lower access panel and reposition the switch to cause the water to shut off sooner.
\015\012Another problem could be that the dishwasher isn't level and the front is set lower than the rear and that is causing erratic operation of the float and causing the water to leak out the front. Check to make sure the dishwasher is properly level front to back and side to side.
\015\012Lastly, check the drain hose to be certain that is doesn't have any obstructions as any partial blockage could be preventing a complete pump out of the water in the tub, since many discharge cycles (pump out) are timer based and don't actually know if all the water has been pumped out before the next cycle starts adding in fresh water, etc.
\015\012Check the entire drain hose from the dishwasher to the air break (if you have one at the sink top) to the drain tap either on a disposal (could have partial blockage inside the drain port on the disposal) or the drain fitting that ties into the sink drain, etc. Check everything to make sure it isn't clogged or blocked anywhere along the drain path.
\015\012Sometimes it's the simple things that cause appliances to not function properly. Without you model number, I couldn't pull up the drawing to check what type of water level float your unit has, etc., so I provided you with generic solutions to try out.
\015\012Hope this helps, best regards!

I have a Bosch SGS43A22 Dishwasher approx 8 years old. When I start a cycle it fills, runs for about 15 minutes, then drops out about a litre of water from the bottom of the door, then completes the cycle without any more leaking. I have run the machine with the front panel off and can see that water bypasses the top of the seal and fills the well of the seal then pours out. It only happens the once. The seal is fitted correctly. Any solutions?

Kenmore model#587(Frigidaire) leaks under door. New install. Had machine for a year plus before install. took off front panel- can see water squirting past lower door gasket as wash arms rotate. cause is water running down door during wash cycle piles up in the channels molded into the lower left & right side of the wash tub and pushes out the sides of the lower gasket. looks like a design issue- called SEARS, they just want to sell me a new gasket! go figure. any ideas on a fix?

It does sound like an inner door seal ,however If you get upset at Sears and complain they may help you as they say the squeaky hinge gets the oil..And with Sears the more you squeak the better your chances of results ...Good Luck ... Dishwashers

Kude48fxbl - brand new out-of-the-box. When put through a test cycle after installing it, water poured out of the bottom left edge of the door. This was not associated with either the water input or the discharge hose, but rather seemed to come from the interior of the washer and out under the door. The door seemed well latched, and running it with some dishes in the bottom tray (not blocking the soap dispenser) didn't help.

Bosch Classixx dishwasher: Initially no water feed and 'water check' light came on. Removed side panel, emptied water from base. Ran OK for a week or so. The problem then repeated so side panel removed, float switch operation checked (OK) drained water from sump below polystyrene float. Ran OK but contents came out dirty and cold - no heat. Side panels off again, water in base but no obvious leak when watched during cycle - still no heat. Help please.

Door leak The dishwasher is 2 and half year old and is randomly leaking for at least one year or even more. The leak originally occurred at both lower ends of the door, close to the hinges. The outside part of the U-shaped gasket was filled with water, and eventually water was spilled on the floor. The leak can g
