Problem started when there was a water clog in the sink next to the dishwasher, and the dishwasher backfilled with water. We used a shop vac to get the dirty water out. 2 weeks ago, I had a plumber come and put in a new garbage diposer and since then somewhat old/dirty water seems to be sitting at the bottom after all cycles are done. I calle dhim back and he says that there is no problem in the plumbing but more with the pump. I even use the wt/dry vac and removed water and ran it but still comes back with water at the bottom. also the dishes smell like soap. Help!!!

The plumber did not make an air gap in the dishwasher drain hose when he reattached it to the new disposal. Look under your sink, does the hose (attached to the disposal) go down and through the cabinet? If so, that is definitely the issue. Simple ... GE 24 in. Profile PDW7800 Built-in Dishwasher

Broken dishwasher We recently had a plumbing problem that resulted in the kitchen sink overflowing and flooding the kitchen. The cabinets to the left of the sink were full of water and the dishwasher to the right of the sink will not work. It says it is washing and using two different washing modes, but I cannot get it to start over. What can I do? It is a Kenmore Quiet Guard 2.

If there is no water in the dishwasher - i.e. it had finished a cycle, but now it is just the indicator lights that are on, then the chances are some water has got into the control system. It will probably dry out, given time. (maybe a number of days ... Dishwashers

A GE triton dishwasher causes hammer noise when stops filling. The sink faucet works fine as do all the other faucets in the house. I cleaned all of the traps in the dishwasher. Because the sink works, I don't think it is a sink valve problem. I turned off the water to the house and drained the system, the air chambers should be good. Is there some component of the dishwasher that could be causing the noise? Would cleaning the pump help? If so, how would I do that?

The cause of the hammering noise, (slamming) is due to the water inlet valve on the Dishwasher (DW) shutting off abrutly once the DW reaches the proper amount of water.\015\012\015\012If this is an older DW, you might want to replace the ... GE Dishwashers

Have a Kenmore Freestanding Dishwasher that was working when hooked up to the sink. When we plumbed it in and connected the electrical directly, we now get an "F4" flashing on the panel with a beeping noise and the pump sounds like it wants to drain but just get a sucking noise. I've tried putting water in it to prime the pump, but still doesn't want to work. Do the codes mean anything, or point to a specific part?

It went thru the whole cycle and when I opened it up - there was water still left in the bottom - hit the cancel/drain button and nothing happened. Unhooked the drain line to the drain pipe under the sink and no water came out. How do I find out if it is the pump ? If I take it out - what do I need to look for and what trouble shoot things do I need to know. I have a Comet BXD 2525 G pressure washer pump which is giving me some problem. (Maybe) I hook the water up to pump and the pressure hose up to the pump, turn on the water and the water sprays out of the water connection at the pump. Blanco dishwasher Hi. Saw your answer on the Blanco dishwasher. We have same problem. Dishwasher makes all the pump sounds it used to, but does not start to drain at cycle start, and then no water comes in. read the manual again and think we may have been washing up - ie sinks plugged. Could this have triggered something. You mentioned something about a "micro switch" could you tell me where would this be?. We have a BFDW 650 S. Thanks, Angie

I have a brand new Blanco dishwasher but im unsure if it is a DWF6XP, DWF4X or DWIN7 model. It does not have a salt dispenser if that helps. Last night when running for the first time i had a plumbing issue where the drain pipe was not set high enough as it states it has to be 500 to 100cm of ground height. Also had a leaking sink drain pipe. Fixed all that and turned machine back on and it pumped all the water that was inside to drain. I have cancelled the program and restarted but now it is ru

Water stopped pumping so ordered new pump. Upon removing the old I discovered it had a few straws twisted up into the pump. Any guidance to where the ball should be prior to installing the pump or i

I have a Bosch dishwasher, M# SHU3035UC/U12. After the cycle is finished, the water is still on bottom of machine, it doesn't pump it out, so I changed the pump. Now when it washes, it fills and washes, when the timer advances it dies, there is no noise and nothing happens, the only way that I get the machine to pump water is by lifting the red overflow lever. Only then does it pump out the water. what can be my problem?

My kenmore 665 dishwasher will not pump water to the lower and upper spinner arms. The pump entry screen assy seems to have one tear in it and is dirty. However water does come out if I take off the lower arm assy. Is this a sign that the pump is bad and is not pumping enough water to move the arms or is there another problem?

The pump is probably defective (low pressure). Enough to spin the bottom but not the top. ... Kenmore Dishwashers

The water is not draining from machine, although the pump is obviously trying. It doesn't sound quite right. Kind of a growling noise. It can pump water into tubs when experimenting with ideas, but can't pump hard enough to pump the water into the sink. This is all done with the hose removed so we could check for debris in the line. I've checked the filters and they are clean and clear. This is a used machine a friend gave me, and it's been working beautifully until now.

Recently our GU1100XTLQ1 started having a problem. It barely cleans the bottom rack, and barely gets top rack wet. The soap stays stuck in the dispenser. I can't see inside as it runs, but my guess is that not enough water is being shot out of the various spinning arms. From looking at diagrams it would appear that this dishwasher uses a pump to circulate water from the bottom of the cavity through the spinning arms. Is my problem a dying pump?
