Standing water in bottom of dishwasher--get F2 error code. It works if I drain all the water before cycle by using a turkey baster
Sounds like the drain pump on this unit is bad //you may luck out and tear into it and remove some debri from the impellar but they are made mostly of plastic these days and normally go bad... disconnect the drain hose from its termination point usually under sink and try to blow through it with a shopvac or something.. may free up any hung items...also you havent replaced a garbage disposal lately have you as there is a plug in the neck of the disposer that has to be knocked out if your dishwasher is connected there...check that area for obstructions

I received a second-hand as-is Akso D3530 (model #107353001) dishwasher. It washes perfectly fine, but at the end of the cycle, it keeps running. It does not seem to be the drain that is running, but rather the circulating pump. I have fully emptied the pan of water (there was only a little in it (you couldn't see it until you removed the sieve) using a turkey baster and it keeps running. I also checked the float sensor in the bottom. The float sensor is not tripped, and when I manually trip it,
Hi.The float switch is not a water level switch, but an overfill switch. The control board uses the input from the pressure sensor to decide when to stop the pump. When you open the float switch circuit the machine 'thinks' that ther ... Asko 24 in. D3530FI Built-in Dishwasher

GU1500XTLS3 Periodically won't start. Dishwasher has power because pressing cancel causes dishwasher to start draining (even though there is no water). Door switch works because opening door prevents starting drain cycle. No other button on control panel will work except for the 'air dry' / 'lockout' button. Turning off circuit breaker for 15-30 minutes and then turning circuit breaker back on seems to fix the problems but only for a couple uses and then it stops working again. Need ad
This could be the 'fill switch', which is the level sensor. Could be a plastic tube that exerts air pressure into the tube as it fills, make sure it's clear and open. The dishwasher has a sensor that monitors the door being closed too. Some use a hig ... Dishwashers
Draining problem Water left in dishwasher after end of cycle. Have a disposer, don't have a drain air gap that I can see. Tried to do a cancel/drain, showed 2 minutes ended and water still there. Disposal works fine. What is really interesting is that there is only two of us and at most we've only used the dishwasher thirty times since we had it. Of course- service plan ran out last year (July 07) Please help me. My name is Donna
There is a flapper in the drain hose just where the hose attaches to the pump assembly it has been know to get dislodged and cause a partial drain. With towels underneath hose remove drain hose and stick you finger in and see if it is free moving. ... Kenmore 24 in. 16539 Built-in Dishwasher
I have a built-in Bosch dishwasher SHU 4302 UC. It no longer drains the water out at the end of all the cycles. I have tried everything mentioned in the booklet (make sure water is hot, use the jet-dry stuff, make sure outflow hose doesn't allow water back in). I have to siphon out at least a good bucketful of water. (Also, only the regular wash cycle works, which is fine with me.)
The problem is a solenoid on the bottom of the unit. It is a small black cylinder next to the pump. It operates the valve that changes to the drain cycle. You can probably order one from Bosch ... Bosch 24 in. SHU43 Built-in Dishwasher
Yes I have a whirlpool DU1345XTVB1 dishwasher. Just got in July. After each wash cycle the dishes are not dry. I have been using Finish gelpacs w/jetdry & also have a off brand drying agent in reservior to help dry dishes. The water temperature is set pretty hot & washer is draining good. I have tried checking wash cycle a few minutes into 1st cycle to see if water is in filling & heating. Didn't know if maybe heating element going out or thermostat not working? Thank you for your time.

I have a dishwasher that hasn't been draining properly. For a while I could hit cancel drain cycle again and it would clear 1/2-1 of water out. But now that doesn't always do it. Someone told me to take filter out and see if it needs to be cleaned. Otherwise we have no other sink/plumbing problems with other kitchen areas. Please help! one handyman told me no use to work on dishwashers they are just throwaway with parts/service being so expensive.
The advise you recieved is correct. You will need to pull the unit out of the cabinet and disconnect the drain hose from the rear. Then remove the cover, There is a filter inside. If its clean then its time for a replacement unit. You could have a ... Whirlpool Dishwashers
The ge profile dishwasher model PDW8280J10SS was purchased about 2 yrs ago. It was working fine up until Jan. 2009. It ran fine but the water stopped draining. I read were you should run the garbage disposal prior to running the dishwasher. I drained the water and did this. It worked fine for a while then the problem was back. Once again, Drained all the water, sucked it out with a turkey baister, moved the dishwasher and checked hoses etc. Once again, it worked fine for about 10-14 runs. It now

I have a bosch smu 2000 series dishwasher. it has always worked well with no problems but then all of a sudden a week or so ago, the water stopped coming into the dishwasher to wash the dishes. the faucet and all other water areas continue to work w/o problems (i.e. bathroom, shower etc). in attempting to use the dishwasher, the entire cycle seems to be working, i initially hear what sounds like an initial water discharge when the cycle first starts and during the entire cycle it sounds like it

GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you

Dishwasher: Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner. Has worked fine until had a house plumbing blockage which made water pool in the bottom of the dishwasher as well as kitchen sink. Tried to get it to drain at first using keypad. Drain light clicked on and then off because there was nowhere for water to do. Manually emptied most of the water, then "Cancel/Drain" worked if I held it down quite a while. House plumbing is now fixed. However the keypad only works sporadically now. Some buttons do so

My dishwasher DW60 does not complete the program and drain the hotwater leaving hot water in the bottom of the dishwasher however when I run a prewash cold water cycle the water does drain away and the dishwasher program works correctly do you know why it drains cold water okay but not hot water
My bosh dishwasher SHX55M06UC/46 will not drain. A new disposal was put in and the dishwasher drain plug was not punched out and the dishwasher was ran that way. Now it just holds water in the bottom. I've tried resetting or canceling the wash cycle but that doesn't work and the washing cycle works fine. I'm hoping there is a reset or a safety for the pump if it gets clogged.
Slow drain. My dishwasher is draining, but not enough to empty the water out after a normal cycle. This is also causing the rinse cycle to use recycled dirty water in the process. I've check the lines and there are no blockages there. Inside the dishwasher are 2 little white balls...where is the exact position they should be placed? Could this be blocking some of the draining process?

Dishwasher drain is hooked to a food disposer and until recently the unit worked fine. Last week following a cycle a couple of inches of water did not drain out. All food is removed from dishes, silverware, etc. prior to loading and the food trap in the bottom is completely clear. I ran the unit empty through a Lightwash cycle and afterwards the water level (that which didn't drain out) looked to be the same as before. The dishwasher is run 2-3 times weekly whereas the food disposal is

KitchenAid dishwasher KUDS24SEBL does not drain after rinse. It goes through wash cycle, drains water completely , then it fills water for rinsing, runs and after that it does not drain. Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus dishwasher Model DU920PFGZ3. Worked fine until I replaced the insinkerator and forgot to punch the drain plug leaving water standing on the bottom of the machine. I punched the drain opening, and pushed the cancel/drain cycle button. It drained fine but since no water comes from the spray arms. I have removed the arm all the way down..NOTHING!! Some research indicated it could be the water inlet valve. When the buttons are pushed, it cycles but no spray or water.
The dishwasher will start to cycle. I can hear the water begin to run. I hear a click and at the time the dishwasher should start to run the cleaning cycle. During the cleaning cycle the dishwasher will stop working. The dishwasher is silent. The timer will continue and the water will drain out at the appropriate time.
This is probably okay, you have clock like motions running the motor electric contacts. There needs to be a delay between some cycles or shorting will occur. Our Whirlpool KUDP01ILBS2 dishwasher isn't working like it used to. Dishes seem to be getting partially clean, they aren't getting dry at all and it seems they may be being rinsed/washed with dirty water. There is plenty of water in the machine when I interupt the cleaning cycle. I always run the hot water in the sink before I start the dishwasher so the first water into the dishwasher is as hot as possible. Also the sani-rinse light is flashing when the cycle "completes".

I think I need to check the water pump/motor on my Bosch SHU43C dishwasher. It seems the water enters at the start of the wash cycle but then there is silence through the remainder of the cycles. Water will not spray. The drain appears to work ok to drain most of the water out. I have the washer out and upside down. Any hints on removing the base to get access to the pump? Should AI be looking at the control panel also for a fault? (the cycles seem to count down ok)

I have a Bosch Dishwasher, Model SHE46C06UC. No mater what cycle I start it in, it simply activates the drain and continues to run without ever starting. Within the last week prior to the dishwasher not working, I noticed a low hum/vibration emitting from the dishwasher. I've clean out the screen and drain filter, removed the pump cover to check for any debris. I've manually added water and it does drain. Additionally, the drain cycle continues to operate even with the door open.
First thing you may want to check is the door switch. You can pull it off and measure the resistance with an ohmmeter. If you get good reading while pushed in and none while switch button is released, then it is a good start. Next, you may want ... Dishwashers
Dishwasher works fine except that after the drying cycle, water slowly builds up in the bottom of the dishwasher. It did this a few years ago for several months, but then it stopped doing it altogether. I did nothing to fix it. Now it's started doing it again. I run the dial around to a point where it drains, let the water drain and then turn it back to off before the drying cycle begins.
