Having problems with your Belling 24 in. IDW603 Built-in Dishwasher ?

Cannot get my dishwasher to work, could hear a noise when it is switched on, but no water filling and no action taking place

Hi there,\012

Well first of all you can check the Water inlet valve - The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it. If it's fine then you can check the float switch - The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it. Please post comments for further help or information..........

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Frigidaire Dishwasher FDB740RC. Not cleaning dishes well. Just in the past couple weeks. When the dishwasher fills with water, how full should it get. When mine fills, it definitely doesn't go up to the element, and just barely makes it to the float switch (not enough to trigger it), makes it to just below the base of it, doesn't come up the side of it at all. Is this normal, or should there be more water. The Water valve has been replaced already.

How can I shut off the water supply to the dishwasher? It fills slowly with water from the top (while not running), and then water spills out over the kitchen floor. Have a Bosch shy56a05uc dishwasher that suddenly stopped working to a point. I believe it is related to the door latch switch, because I don't feel the door securely latch shut when I close it, and I also don't get any cycle lights or times registered on the LED readout. If I depress the on switch, the drain pump will start even with the door open, and, depending on how long I leave the switch on, water will start to fill in the dishwasher, open or not.

My SGS55M72AU/65 does not get rid of its drain water, although that wee pump in the bottom is clearly working (which I could see after removing filters and pump cover). I have a Bosch dishwasher (SMI5072), bought in 2005 second-hand but working OK. It has always been a little slow to get going, and I had initially thought the clockwork program dial was getting stuck. Then I concluded that it had something to do with the filling up process, and I thought it must be because the water was rather cold and paid no more attention to it. This has meant that it seemingly takes ages to get through a cycle. Yesterday I put it on, left it and got on with some work. An h
