Continuious Filling. The supply line continues to fill the unit at a slow rate even when the unit is off.
Seems like the inlet solenoid valve is stuck in the partly open position. This happens when tiny particles become entrapped inside the valve even though manufacturers attempt to prevent this by installing a screen at the water connection. So one possible solution is to remove the valve and thoroughly clean it. I do this by actually disassembling the valve body. Usually it is a split-shell assembly with a rubber gasket at the split line. Just be careful and if you tear the gasket, it can be replaced with automotive silicone gasket maker (comes in a tube). Draw pictures of each step if you need reference for re-assembly.

Maytag Dishwasher I would like to know the proper water level after DW fills. Older Whirlpool units a quick guide was when water just covered heater. I have a new D/W and the water supply is difficult to access, there is a kink in the water line slowing the water flow. The D/W fills to bottom of heater, but because the unit is so quiet I can't determine if it is timing out or working properly. I intend to repair water line when counter work is done. Thanks for any help Gary

My plumber just installed a new water supply line for my dishwasher. Now the pump comes on but no water fills up in the machine. If I fill the bottom of the unit with water, it works just fine. Even though the water supply is ON, it does not pump water into the 'box'. Thanks, Art

Bosch SHX46A02UC-21 Won't Fill and Drain Runs Continually. Original presentation of problem was that it wouldn't drain. Discovered that Garbage Disposal had plugged drain line. Dishwasher - Bosche - SHV43A03GB - When the main power switch is ON, even with the door open the pump/motor continues to run (ie. Stop-cycle does not operate). However, the wash-program itself does not run, even with the door closed (ie. No water entering the dishwasher, even though water supply is on and feed lines are clear - not kinked). It is like the program is 'stuck' and I cannot seem to get it to reset.

Then continues to attempt to drain even while door is opened. My amateur guess is that its a float switch but can I get at it from the inside or from the back? If thats what it is. WP DW Mod # GU1200XTLS0: this unit filled with water and just stopped running. I have power to the unit. The control panel does not light up at all. Its wierd that I have power to the board and all the wires seem to have power! No burnt spots and no burnt smell on the board.Hmmm! Door latch and switches all check ok. Oddly it seems like the line power to DW goes all the way thru the unit and back through the nutural wire. Could the motor windings be burnt out?

Dear sir In an attempt to dislodge a blockage of my sewer line using Draino and a plunger some of the Drano ended up in the dishwasher and now the dishwasher will not run. I have a Kenmore Elite dishwasher (2004) and recently it has been leaking internally at a very slow pace. When not in use it will slowly fill until the floor of the unit is filled and then leak onto the kitchen floor unless we press the drain button and then it drains completely. The water seems to be coming from the front of the washer, potentially from the door itself. The amount of leakage is barely discernible but will fill over the course of a 24 hour period. I have a similar problem to another person. The drain on the dish drawer was blocked. The unit now shows an F1 error code ( flood?) and the pump runs continuously even after I've unblocked everything. I've tried switching it off for ages and drying everything out. When I switch it on again it shows the wash programme but then reverts to F1 and the pump motor runs continuously. Any ideas to cancel the F1 code?
