Hi,

There could be many Reasons. Few main Reasons are as follows :-

\015\012\015\012 \015\012 Water-inlet valve

\015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012\015\012\011\015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012\015\012 \015\012 Most cleaning problems are caused by the \015\012dishwasher not getting enough wash water, so the water-inlet valve is \015\012often to blame. This valve is usually at the bottom left or right of the\015\012 dishwasher, behind the lower access panel. It's the device with the \015\012main water line from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two\015\012 wires attached to it. \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012\015\012\011\015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012\015\012 \015\012 When a water-inlet valve is defective, you may \015\012hear the sound that's usually referred to as "water hammer." If the \015\012water-inlet valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012\015\012\011\015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012\015\012 \015\012 Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve Replacement

Be\015\012 sure to read and understand any instructions that come with the new \015\012water inlet valve.

\015\012Tools required:

\015\012Adjustable wrench

\015\012Multi-Screwdriver

\015\012Pliers

\015\012Step 1. Disconnect the dishwasher from its power source.
Note: Dishwashers are usually wired directly to the home’s electrical \015\012system. To disconnect the power, switch off the circuit breaker or \015\012remove the fuse for the electrical circuit the dishwasher is attached \015\012to. Try to turn the unit on after disconnecting the power to be sure you\015\012 were successful.
CAUTION: If you’re not sure you’ve shut off the power properly, DO NOT \015\012CONTINUE. Call a qualified appliance repair technician to complete the \015\012repair.
Step 2. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher. This is usually
underneath the kitchen sink or in the basement or crawlspace near the \015\012location of the dishwasher. Pliers may be helpful here.
Note: If there are no shut-off valves, you must shut the water off at \015\012the main water supply valve for your home.
Step 3. Remove the lower panel(s) of the dishwasher. These are usually \015\012held by 2 to 4 screws at the upper and lower corners of the panel(s).
The inlet valve is usually near the front of the dishwasher. Attached to\015\012 the valve you’ll see: 2 or 4 wires, the water supply line from the \015\012house and the water feed line that goes to the dishwasher.
Step 4. Remove the household water supply line from the valve. The line \015\012is usually secured with a brass compression nut. The water supply line \015\012is usually copper or braided stainless steel.
CAUTION: Water supply line may be hot.
Step 5. Remove the fitting from the valve the water supply line was \015\012attached to. This fitting may be very difficult to remove. It may help \015\012to put the valve into a vice in order to remove the fitting. If you \015\012cannot remove it, replace it. The fitting is not an appliance part but a\015\012 plumbing part that is available at most hardware stores.
Step 6. Remove the screws holding the valve to the dishwasher frame.
Step 7. Label the wires to the valve so you’ll be sure to reattach them \015\012correctly.
Step 8. Remove the wires from the valve.
Step 9. Remove the clamp on the black rubber water discharge tube and \015\012pull the tube off of the valve.
Step 10. Reinstall the old fitting (or a replacement fitting if \015\012necessary) onto the new valve the water supply line was attached to. Use\015\012 Teflon tape or pipe joint compound as a thread sealant. Make this \015\012fitting tight to prevent leaks. Make sure that the fitting points in the\015\012 same direction as the old one so that the water supply line will meet \015\012up with it properly.
Step 11. Install the new valve in the reverse order of the removal \015\012instructions.
Note: The water supply line is under high pressure. Be sure to tighten \015\012the fittings properly.
Step 12. Turn on the water to the machine, and check for and correct any\015\012 leaks.
Step 13. Reinstall the access panel(s). Restore the power to the \015\012dishwasher and test.
Note: You may have to let the dishwasher run a few minutes before it \015\012reaches the next water fill cycle.

\015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012\015\012\011\015\012 \015\012\015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012 \015\012

Hi
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012Thanks for using FixYa. First of all please check the\015\012Water temperature by using a thermometer inside the dishwasher to measure the\015\012water temp. It should be as close to 125 degree F to 140 degree F as possible.\015\012Now try using the temperature boost feature if your dishwasher is equipped with\015\012this cycle feature and check if this will help your wash ability issues.
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012Now check the Powder soap by making sure that you store\015\012your soap in a dry environment and it is not stale and clumping together.\015\012Possibly try a different detergent like a liquid or gel. Also, make sure the\015\012dishes are loaded properly, or dishwasher is not overloaded.
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012To check the proper filling dishwasher will fill with\015\012water up to and around the heating element. If water is more below the heating\015\012element, you may have low water pressure or a problem with the fill valve. Try\015\012& listen if it sounds like it is spraying the water around with enough\015\012pressure.
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012For low water pressure, try to clean the screen at the\015\012entrance of the fill valve, sometimes the fill valve can fail and not allow the\015\012proper water into the dishwasher and may need to be replaced. And, check\015\012the spray arm and pump cover for splits or leaks. Also make sure that the water\015\012is draining and is not accumulated in the dishwasher, if it is in\015\012dishwasher then check for clogged drain hoses and drain pump.
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012Low water fills are a very common trouble maker with\015\012today's dishwasher. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or\015\012else revert for further assistance.
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012Thanks

I own the Siemans SL34A006UC dishwasher which had the recall repair completed. Now it doesn't work right. The unit goes through any of the cleaning choices but when it comes time to drain, the unit stops for a few seconds, swishes water for a couple seconds, stops again, then swishes for a couple seconds, stops and then goes back in to regular cleaning mode until the timer reaches zero. At each drain cycle, it does the same thing earlier mentioned 3 times in a row, then back to washing. The unit

I have a zanussi ZSF2440 dishwasher, when it turned on by the power button on the front you can choose a cycle and start it, Once the cycle is started it fills up with water but doesn't stop until it over flows setting off the flood protection, which cuts the power, so all the lights on the display go off and stops the water flow and drains the dishwasher and keeps draining the dish washer while the flood protection is on. It seems as if the dishwasher doesn't know when its reached its correct

Dirty dishes The dishwasher in the house I moved into is a very basic model of approximately 1-2 yrs. old. In every load that I wash there are some dishes that are not cleaned properly. I do not have access to a users manual and was wondering if I need to set the water temperature? Can anyone help?

You need to take the spray arm off of the bottom and get down to the filter: there's probably food trapped in the filter somewhere, not able to drain out and it keeps recycling onto the dishes at each cycle. Good luck! ... Sears 24 in. 14181 Built-in Dishwasher

Then with no explaination the noise stopped and the machine sounded normal again. Today when I started the machine it makes the normal sound when starting, but it acts like it is stuck at the beginning and does not fill with water. The timer also does not count down.

My dishwasher skips the final drain cycle. The lines are all clean and there is no clog. It drains just fine in the beginning of the wash cycle. Every time I do a load of dishes I have to run the full cycle, then leave the machine open for 3-4 hours and start the cycle again and listen for the drain at the beginning of the wash to drain the machine from the initial wash and stop the machine after it is done draining so it won't fill up again.
