Having problems with your Bosch 24 in. SHE44C02UC / SHE44C06UC / SHE44C07UC Built-in Dishwasher ?

We have a Bosch SHE44C02UC/46 that suddenly won't start. I pushed the on/off button to start the dishes cleaning on the 'Power Scrub Plus' cycle and the display lights up with a 125 min. indication for the cleaning time, but the dishwasher never starts. It just sits there completely silent and never begins the cleaning. The dishwasher has worked perfectly up to, and including, the last cleaning cycle (3 days ago) for the last 4 years. Suddenly, today, nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada. I don't get i

Hi.

Re:" I\\'m sure it has to be something simple."

A: yes, probably a fault, simple as that.

To start there is a recall concerning this model.Enter the full model and part number here and check if your appliance is affected by recall.

If the machine does not start, but light comes on, that is usually because one of the relays that start the cycle have failed (this model only). If that is not the problem, then it is either because the door microswitch is broken (does not matter if it clicks or not), or because there is a problem related to water inlet. In some less frequent case, the central control unit may be defective.

Start disconnecting power fro two minutes, either by tripping the circuit breaker or by disconnecting power cord. That will reset electronics. See if it helps.

Check if there inlet, check inlet hose at the back and pressure from faucet. That should also be OK.

After that, the repair is carried testing parts.

On/Off switch is tested by reading Ohms on part terminals. Part must be removed from circuit first.

Relays (switches) are probably responsible. This are tested reading volts at the switch terminals, starting from on/off. Here list.

Door switch must be tested by running a cycle with its contacts jumped.

Inlet valve can be tested reading impedance at solenoid contacts, and reading volts at terminals during operations.

Here all parts and diagrams for your model.

Ensure that the model is not under recall. Try performing the checkup on inlet, and reset by disconnecting power. If that does not work, then you will probably need a technician. In that case call the Bosch number listed on manual or in your local Bosch website to book a technician.

Regards.

Ginko.
There is a manual available for download from the Bosch customer care centre website. Clink on the "Insructions and Manual .." icon.Type in the full model no. as you have given in this posting. Then select the 3rd document from the list.

\015\012It is unusual not to have any lights flash if there is a serious problem. Most likely the door is not shut properly. Maybe a little push might help. There is a door switch which could not be engaging with the latch. Is the behaviour any different if you select some other cycle?

I have a Bosch Dishwasher, Model SHE46C06UC. No mater what cycle I start it in, it simply activates the drain and continues to run without ever starting. Within the last week prior to the dishwasher not working, I noticed a low hum/vibration emitting from the dishwasher. I've clean out the screen and drain filter, removed the pump cover to check for any debris. I've manually added water and it does drain. Additionally, the drain cycle continues to operate even with the door open.

First thing you may want to check is the door switch. You can pull it off and measure the resistance with an ohmmeter. If you get good reading while pushed in and none while switch button is released, then it is a good start. Next, you may want ... Dishwashers

I used the "rinse only" cycle on the dishwasher a little while ago. I've never used this cycle before. After dinner I tried to start the dishwasher, but no other buttons on the panel respond except the last one I used, which is the rinse only cycle. I push and push, I tried pushing and holding, nothing works, I get no lights no anything. I've been using the "light wash" cycle for a long time and I normally just push the start button and the last cycle used starts automatically, so I wasn't a

After working perfectly for years, I came home yesterday and the dishwasher had gone through it's whole cycle (including drying) but the bottom was fully filled with water. I emptied the dishwasher and tried to put it through a "rinse and hold" cycle to see if it would drain, but that didn't work. I pulled out the filter--it's clean as a whistle. Any thoughts?
