Check the lid safety switch,if its open circuited it wont let the machine operate on most cycles, its the little tab that the door pushes on when closed, you need to remove the top to bypass it,then if it starts, just replace the switch

\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012Thanks for using FixYa. If the\015\012cycle doesn't complete, check these:
\015\012\015\012Water-heating\015\012cycle
\015\012\015\012Many dishwashers heat the wash\015\012and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these\015\012cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the\015\012water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next depends, as follows:
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012On some units, the pause is timed\015\012and the unit continues after the allotted time.
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012On others, the cycle can't\015\012continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type\015\012of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with\015\012the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle,\015\012it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle\015\012problem" is fixed too.
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012Timer
\015\012\015\012Timers don't often fail. But if\015\012every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer\015\012knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer\015\012may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective,\015\012replace it.
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012Please do accept the solution\015\012if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

I have a Bosch dishwasher, M# SHU3035UC/U12. After the cycle is finished, the water is still on bottom of machine, it doesn't pump it out, so I changed the pump. Now when it washes, it fills and washes, when the timer advances it dies, there is no noise and nothing happens, the only way that I get the machine to pump water is by lifting the red overflow lever. Only then does it pump out the water. what can be my problem?

It is not pumping water into the spray arm to wash the dishes. I can get it to fill with water and drain the water, but when it fills and the cycle timer starts, nothing happens, and a slight burning smell occurs. Does this model have a reversable pump or a direct drive? I am thinking this is where i need to start.

Dishwasher will not drain. It appears to us that the pump simply is not pushing the water out. We have disconnected the hoses and then the water drains, but there is nothing clogged up. The garbage disposal works fine. We can hear the pump when we push drain but nothing happens.

The pump impeller is probably plastic -- if so, dry rot is out.\015\012\015\012Most likely the pump shaft is just dry from lack of use. More use will probably wet it enough to stop the squeal.\015\012\015\012Charlie ... Bosch 24 in. SHU66C05 Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher
