Having problems with your Bosch 24 in. SHU5305UC Built-in Dishwasher ?
Very long cycles, checked the hot water going in and its hot, but still very long cycle..
Hello,\015\012\015\012The first thing which comes to mind is a very common occurance with B/S/H ( Bosch, Thermador, Gaggenau ) manufactured dishwashers, a failed solder on the control board, specifically the heater relay. Since the info you provided states your inlet water appears hot enough, I think it's not satisfying the thermistor for the control to advance correctly. It could also be a failed "ntc" the "heating element" itself or a stuck "flo-switch" in the heater assembly, but those aren't very common and therefore unlikely. With this in mind I'd first suggest calling in an authorized bosch servicer if that is an option for you and your budget however, If you cannot afford that option or feel capable of checking this on your own, there`s a way to visually inspect the control yourself ( and ultimately repair it, see "my opinion" below ) It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board. This will be one of the pins from the heater relay, hence the unit sit`s and takes forever to finish and eventually display's the "1" error ( on models with a display ) because it can`t heat to advance or unless the 2 buttons for "cancel" are pressed.\015\012\015\012**My Opinion - if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...but it has to be done well...or it will not last, although Bosch recommend`s replacing the control and I don`t pretend to speak on there behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)**\015\012\015\012**Please disconnect the power before attempting any service to the dishwasher. If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau, to service your machine.**\015\012\015\012Hope this answer`s your question, let me know if I can assist you further. \015\012\015\012Thank`s for visiting "fixya" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution to it's helpfulness.\015\012\015\012Good luck.\015\012\015\012macmarkus :)

KitchenAid KUDP01DLBS2 dishwasher. Runs for a very long time on any cycle; time does not seem to advance. (takes 2.5 hours or more for normal cycle. "sensing soak", "water heating" lights on for a long time, even though it appears that water is not being heated. Checked incoming water temp, is hot. Did not do this when new, something has changed. Sounds like the heater inside the dishwasher is not working. The machine is trying to get the water up to a preset temperature, probably in the neighborhood of 140 degrees. That is one of the things that it is sensing. After the machine fi ... Dishwashers
Our dishwasher (a Maytag - MDBH970AW) will not proceed past the intital intake of water. It has done this occasionally in the past, but with repeated attempts to start a wash cycle, it would eventually work and continue to work for some time afterward. However, in the past week, it will not go through a wash cycle. I have ran the water, prior to starting, to ensure that it is intaking very hot water. When it quits, I can push the start button again and it will go through the 2 minute drain c

Dishwasher wont fill with water. just before it stopped filling i was turning the dial (a lot) between the wash cycles back and forth to attempt to get it to fill and drain (I didn't let it go through a cycle). We also removed the hose from the machine as it had split and replaced it and we had the machine tilted on it's side. the dial still clicks round but it sounds like the pump is going and it doesn't seem to be filling with water. After cycle is complete, water (not clean) sits at the bottom of the washer but I still unload the dishes and then turn the cycle dial around again - going past all the water heating and filling and washing - and land on the drain cycle, it will drain. Any ideas why it will not drain when I let a cycle run, but will drain once I cycle it through to the drain option?

There is gum stuck somewhere in my dishwasher drain line. The water won't go down. I took the inside apart and can see the hole where the drain water goes. I disconnected the drain hose under the sink. I got the water to drain out when there was alot in there, but now it won't drain again. I blew compressed air from a compressor backwards through the hose and it makes a big splash and bubbles inside the dishwasher, but the water still won't go down. My trusty Bosch s510 Dishwasher which has been going strong for about 17 years (at least) has just decided not to empty itself. I noticed the bottom was full of water after a wash. I emptied all the water out by hand and presuming there is a blockage in the drain tried using a plunger to unblock it. I have since put it through another cycle and half way through water started leaking out of the front. At the end of the cycle the bottom of the dishwasher was again full of hot 'soapy' water. If th

My dishwasher was moved for kitchen rennovations. When hooked back up again it would not fill up. It will run through a cycle but no water enters. If I squeeze the rubber hose that leads from the electronic valve to the tub it gets hot indicating that I am forcing hot water through the line. If I pour water into the tub it will wash the dishes but at the final 6 minute point it will go no further, I assume because it is not getting rinse water.

I have been using Finish gelpacs w/jetdry & also have a off brand drying agent in reservior to help dry dishes. The water temperature is set pretty hot & washer is draining good. I have tried checking wash cycle a few minutes into 1st cycle to see if water is in filling & heating. Didn't know if maybe heating element going out or thermostat not working? Thank you for your time.
