Replacing the heater unit in a Bosch dishwasher SGS43e02

\015 The heater unit needs replacing in my dishwasher (I have proven this using a multimeter - it is not the circuit board or underfilling).\015\012\015\012I have the new heater unit in my hands but it seems very hard to get access to where I need to get to fit it.\015\012\015\012Is there any shortcut access or do I have to do a major dismantling job on the machine? If the latter, what is the best sequence for taking it apart? Do I have to turn the machine upside down or on its side to access the heater? Any hints and tips?\015\012\015\012Thanks,\015\012Rob\015

I have just finished changing the heater on my Bosch SGS55C02GB. It is a tricky job but fixed my problem for £100 instead of paying £350 to replace the whole thing. My model had no access hatch to the heater, as described by the previous solution, the only way to get to it was to take the whole plastic bottom off the unit. After reading other posts on other forums, taking the bottom off seemed like a nightmare job, so instead, I cut out a hole in the plastic tray with a jigsaw and created my own access. Obviously had to be vary careful not to cut any wires or pipes! This allowed me to actually get to the screws to undo them, and swap the heater for the new one. The only extra part I needed was a new jubilee club to replace the original one that attaches to the pump. The part I replaced was:\015\012

Hi
\015\012
\015\012I had first tried to fix the heater problem by following the advice to look at the relay in the control unit and to re-solder the faulty joint - I did this but it still did not work so I bought a new heater unit instead
\015\012
\015\012I have now just replaced the heater unit in my machine - its simple if a little fiddly
\015\012
\015\012first switch off power to the machine just in case!
\015\012
\015\012If it is a "flow through" type do the following:
\015\012
\015\012remove the metal panel at the bottom rear of the machine held in place by two self tapping scews with a "star" head on them - you will need a special screwdriver for this as slot head or "Philips" type wont work
\015\012
\015\012remove the thin metal panel and you will see the heater unit to the left
\015\012
\015\012it is held in position by the two pipes to which it connects - in my case a cream/semi-transparent pipe on the left and a black rubber pipe on the right
\015\012
\015\012they attach to the heater by two clips - you will need a pair of mole grips of pliers with wide enough mouth to squeeze the clips together and slip them back along the pipes so that you can pull the unit off the hoses - just make a note of how they looked and were positioned so that you can put them back in exactly the same place!
\015\012
\015\012then remove the electrical contacts but just note where they go before doing so - this is the fiddly part but just rotate the unit slightly to expose them so you can pull them off - it s ok you cant break anything by giving them e bit if a tug!
\015\012
\015\012then remove the unit and slide the hoses over the ends of the replacement - attach the two connectors - slide the clips back into their original positionand just check that it is all secure and the hoses are properley on as far as they will go
\015\012
\015\012replace the panel and then connect to power and it should now work
\015\012
\015\012hope that helps

I have a Bosch SHU9915UC/U11 dishwasher, installed in 2002. Recently, our hot water heater had to be replaced, and we were without hot water for five days. Air got into the hot water pipes, and dried out all the debri in the lines. When we got the new hot water heater going, all of the sediment in the pipes ended up in the in-line screen filters in various appliances (clothes washer, etc.). I have cleaned these out, and these appliances are fine. Since then, the dishwasher has been shutting

Bosch dishwasher (SXH55MO6UC/46): The power comes on and runs normal, but no water is coming into the unit. I was told that it was a water inlet valve that needs to be replaced (part #263833). I need to know if this is what needs to be replaced and if so, is this something that I can do or do I need an expert repair service to do it? If it is something that I can do, I need instructions. I am handy, but this is something that I have not done before, Thank you, Craig Covey

Hello, I had a problem with my Bosch dishwasher not washing properly. I have fixed burnt out wires, replaced the water inlet valve, AND tested with a new control module. Nothing is helping. When I start the cycle, it completes the initial drain and water does flow into the unit for about a minute, maybe a minute and a half. I can hear the clicking of cycle changes but it is not washing. Eventually it will drain the inch or so of water in the bottom, but it never washes. Any help???
