I have an Ariston LS245 dishwasher, have just had the pump replaced, as it had shorted out, due to water in the bottom tray where the water detection float is, also a new drain hose fitted. Have just run a wash and after running a while, presumably to the end of the rinse, wash and dry cycle, then one of the cycle phase lights, the one for 'soak' blinks constantly. I switched the machine off and had a look to see if a wash had been done, the dishes look clean. In the book it says that if one

Dishwasher fills with hot water. Float OK - water feed stops when full. Motor humms but no water spray (in all opperating modes). Cancel selection (with cancel button) and close the door. The water drains then the unit shuts off. Water feed OK. Drain Cycle OK. Looks like spray pump hung but do not know. Cannot find a reset button (as with disposal) or way to free hung pump motor. I did see glass pieces in the drain. Possibly a small piece hanging the motor.

Whirlpool DWF417W, Type 12155 A couple of weeks ago the machine failed to empty, leaving dirty water in the machine at the end of the cycle. Start a new program it emptied & all was then well. A couple of days ago we started a wash cycle as normal, shut the door, the pump normally runs for about 10 seconds then the cycle starts. However the pump just runs continuously?? I think I need to check the water pump/motor on my Bosch SHU43C dishwasher. It seems the water enters at the start of the wash cycle but then there is silence through the remainder of the cycles. Water will not spray. The drain appears to work ok to drain most of the water out. I have the washer out and upside down. Any hints on removing the base to get access to the pump? Should AI be looking at the control panel also for a fault? (the cycles seem to count down ok)

My Siemens dishwasher has just started to play up. I have checked out the pump and it is free and does pump away but does not circulate to wash.

We have a Bosch Model SKT5102GB/07 and the problem is as follows; we load the dirty washing and start the washing process, the machine then goes through the full cycle of wash. Once finished you open the door and notice that the washing is still dirty and a large pool of water is laying in the bottom of the machine. We have had an independent engineer look at the machine and he has advised that the pump needs changing. Look forward to your reply, thank you. Regards Michael Ballard.

GE PDW7300 dishwasher - must slam the door shut to get a light on the panel and when the START button is pressed, it looks like the dishwasher is cycling thru a wash, but there is no water. When I press the START cycle again, it seems like it thinks its pumping the water out for a few minutes, then the light will go off. If I start it again and push really hard against the door, I can hear the water go on. But if I stop pushing the door, the water stops. The dishwasher was installed in 2001, but

Westinghouse Virtuoso 922 dishwasher. Wash cycle completes, but water does not drain out. If I let the cycle continue, after a delay the rinse cycle starts, but of course no clean water is pumped in so the dishes are "rinsed" in the dirty wash water. Our Miele G975SC dishwasher has developed a problem - it starts a wash or rinse cycle as normal - it pumps out, then fills with new water and starts washing as expected. My Bosh Model# SHE4AM02UC/01 Is not cycling. Started with the soap dispenser not opening, progressed to the drain pump not staying on. When you turn it on, the pump runs for 2 seconds. water solenoid opens for another two seconds, and then the "clean" light comes on. If I go to quick wash, or to pot scrubber it might do a regular cycle. I did pull the pump to remove a piece of glass before this all started, but can't imagine that would be the cause.

The disk washer doesn't drain at the end of the rinse cycle. There is a humming sound but no water is forced through the hose to the sink/garbabe disposal. At the end of the wash, there is a large amount of dirty water in the bottom of the washer. I removed the spray arms, the spray arm holder and the screen and then removed the water, and found a couple of pieces of plastic. But I don't see how I can remove additional parts from the washer bottom. What could the problem be? Is there a fi

When I started it, it made a loud grinding sound which continued whenever it was actually washing/rinsing. It was washing and rinsing the dishes ok. I had a service tech at my house to repair my refrigerator. He also took a look at my Maytag WU504 dishwaser, which was not cleaning the dishes anymore. He was less familiar with dishwasher diagnosis, but found that the lower spray arm was pumping out water through the jets properly in the cycles, but that the spray arm was not rotating. He seemed stumped and called his supervisor, who suggested it might be the wash impeller. I have looked at the parts diagram on partselectdotcom and taken t

My GSD5940Do1ss leaks from what appears to be a tube that is in the middle left of the underside. There are no leaks from the hoses or pumps. It only leaks when it is adding water during the wash or rinse cycle. The part it is leaking from looks like a plastic tube that is part of the tub enclosure. There are four of them and I think they are really the mounting guides for the tub enclosure, which means the water is probably flowing down the tub to this spot. I'm assuming that means my seal arou

I have an Asko DW1875 dishwasher (10yrs old) which has just recently started having problems. The initial symptom was that during a washing cycle, unit showed '1' and inside became very hot (melting some plastic cups/plates in unit). When circulation pump runs there is barely any water pressure in blades (just dribbles out) and water leaks into undertray via a plastic white tab near front (v

Noticed dishes on top shelf not entirely clean. Ran machine empty and opened many times during wash. Noticed that Lower Spray Arm works as expected, but Middle Spray Arm turns only 1/8 or less, then Lower Arm spins again. Schematic with Use and Care manual just says pump motor switches from one to the other in certain cycles, but I don't see this happening. Looked for obstructions to water flow and pressure seems normal. Is control for this function part of the pump, or in the control panel?
