Having problems with your Bosch 24 in. SHX57C05UC Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher ?

Dishwasher seems to slowly fill up with water when the unit is off. Seems as if the water valve doesnt shut off poperly.....what might be the problem?

Answers :

Most likely the water valve is contaminated with calcium deposits, preventing the valve from seating properly.
\015\012
\015\012Possibly you could remove the water valve, remove the electrical coils and soak it in a household Calcium/Lime/Rust remover solution. But you've gotta be careful... Most water valves have rubber components inside which could be softened by harsh solutions.
\015\012
\015\012Use a watered-down solution of CLR and see if that helps. If not, you'll have to replace the water valve.

My dishwasher only fills half way and it dosn't go through the wash cycle. It pumps the water out and then go to the rinse cycle but has the same problems with the water level. We have checked the motor, pump and the water valve. It seems to be working fine. Thought it might be the timer.

Tricity Bendix DH090 water valve closes too early. Insufficient water causes program to stop before first heating cycle. If I switch off, open the machine & pour an extra pint of water in, shut the door & switch on again the wash takes place and completes perfectly to specification. OK so the problem seems to be that level detector No 1 switches off the water inlet valve early and level detector No 2 (apparently) halts the cycle since it detects insufficient water in the machine. Flashes CLEAN & LIGHT WASH. My understanding is this is an error condition for low motor current, which makes sense as the motor never starts. I know both door switches are good (I checked them with a DVM) and both engage when the door is closed. Tripping the water float switch opens the valve and water fills the tub

My dishwasher doesn't seem to fill with water. The heat cycle keeps running and never shuts off. I have discovered that there was some hard water buildup in the drain. I cleaned that out and I still have the same problem. It almost seems like it is not completing a cycle and it won't reset.

Maytag HDB8600AWW Dishwasher had been making noise (thought might be water valve, like previous DW), eventually stopped draining water, water now in bottom, I've let sit for couple weeks, looked inside, water was gone, I tried running again, it filled with water, but heard humming control panel noises for first time, then shuts itself off. Also, my handle needs replaced. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks in advance. David Weaver

I have a model du1145XTPQ dishwasher. I doesn't seem to fill with enough water so I have to add with every cycle. The repairman says that there is no filter and my water pressure wasn't high enough. The water company was out and said water pressure was at 75pounds and that was not my problem. Is there a filter somewhere that might be cloged? thanks

The dishwasher has a float switch which detects if the dishwasher is filled. If the travel of the float is not sufficient it may be triggering early and causing the inlet valve to shut. Also see page 21 in the ... Whirlpool 24 in. DU1148XTP Built-in Dishwasher

I have a Maytag DWU8250BAX and the thing leaks like crazy. I just replaced the door gasket, but that is not the problem. When I took a closer look at the door it seems as though the water is getting up and into the door through a space in the bottom of the door. It seems to me like there should be another door seal to fill a gap that sits between the door hinges. If anyone knows if there should be a seal here and then what the part number might be that would be great. Thanks!

There is an airgap under the door..it should spray up and run down the door not spray up under it..look for crack or hole in spray arm..if there is the wrong soap in it it will flood out with lots of bubbles..just have to flush it out. lastly, if you ... Dishwashers

I have a newly installed Kitchenaide dishwasher. The copper pipe is secure under the sink and appears connected properly to the dishwasher. When I turn the shut off valve on, water begans to run from underneath the dishwasher. There is no water under the sink. The plastic hose does not seem to be the problem.

You should be able to remove the panel below the door and see where water inlet hose is connected to the solenoid valve. I'd bet that's where it's leaking since you say it's newly installed. ... Dishwashers

I have a Bosch SHU43C05UC diswasher. Last night, I put it on before going to bed as usual. I was awakened a couple of hours later to a loud grinding sound (like a pump being run dry), and found the noise coming from the dishwasher. The display read "0" time remaining, so I opened the door and the dishes seemed clean, so I left it shut off. Tonight I have been trying to troubleshoot the problem. The dishwasher will turn on, but it will not seem to fill with water. I have verified that the

Kenmore Dishwasher model 665.1675592 doesn't seem to wash as well as it used to. Seems to have a low water level. Filler valve works, allows water in, but never seems to fill enough. No spray reaches top shelf, I think due to insufficient water level. It's like the timer doesn't stay on long enough for it to fill. Also cycle time seems WAY up, but if the timer is slow, how does it time out filling so fast? Looks like it would be slow all the time. Suggestions?

We have a Sears Ultra Wash III dishwasher, model 665.1677993, bought in October, 1995. It is not filling with enough water to get the dishes clean. I took the water valve out and looked at it and it seems okay. It doesn't look like the valve is opening all the way - just my guess. A small stream of water comes out with good pressure, but it is a small stream. I can't find any screens or filters in the water line coming in. The fill cycle lasts only about a minute. Is that adequate? Steve

I have a Neff Dishwasher and I think the problem is due to the cold water inlet valve. When the dishwasher starts it drains any water and then should stat to fill.
