The dishwasher takes water in (not to much as when you open the door later, there is hardly water visible) and then it sounds as if it is busy heating the water. Then all of a suddden it will trip the power switch on the distribution board. My impression is that it is not takingin enough water and the heating part causes the trip failure. Your comments and advice to resolve will be aapreciated. Planning to open it up this weekend (machine not that old)

Usually ,there will be a float in the bottom of a dishwasher that shuts down the waterflow when it has received enough water. it works just like the float in a toilet tank (if you are familiar with that) you are definitely on the correct path in thin ... Indesit Dishwashers

Hi. I have a Briggs & Stratton 2800PSI gas pressure washer. I can get it to start, but after about 5 min, then it quits. I have cleaned the carb, change oil, changed plug, new gas, cleaned/checked air filter. Nothing will keep it running. Wondering if it may be not enough water pressure, but would that cause it to stop like that? When it runs, it does a good job, but it stops just as you get going. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!

"sensing soak", "water heating" lights on for a long time, even though it appears that water is not being heated. Checked incoming water temp, is hot. Did not do this when new, something has changed. Typical cycle was 1 hr 10 min. before.

Sounds like the heater inside the dishwasher is not working. The machine is trying to get the water up to a preset temperature, probably in the neighborhood of 140 degrees. That is one of the things that it is sensing. After the machine fi ... Dishwashers

I have a GE dishwasher model GLDL560N10SS. I noticed a burning smell coming from it the other day and then realized that although I can hear water running into the dishwasher when I start it, it never actually runs in the sense that the water is pushed through the various outlets to wash the dishes. I'm assuming that it is because the unit is dry and the heating element is still coming on that it is causing a burning smell. If I open the unit and reset it, it pumps the water back out into the si

Bosch Dishwasher I currently own a Bosch dishwasher. One of the selling points, if I'm remembering right, of the dishwasher was it was supposed to super heat the hot water that is coming in from the tap. I have 3 problems. We have to rinse the dishes by hand before putting them in the dishwasher, Otherwise they won't come out clean. The dishwasher will run for four hours sometimes longer. It doesn't seem like it is heating the water any hotter than what comes out of the tap.

We lost electricity very briefly today which caused the dishwasher, washing, drying, clean buttons to blink when the electricity came back on. I opened the door to do a load of dishes hours after the electricity came back on and the basin was filled with water which caused water to spill out of the dishwasher. The basin was empty last night when we used it. It seemed to fill up when it was not running.

Hi ..I have an Excell gas pressure washer model no. Exwgv2121-3 with Faip 2100 psi 2 gpm vertical shaft pump..the problem is that there is water leaking from every weep hole at the bottom of the pump when running. Oddly enough, the pump still puts out significant pressure but less than it should due to the leaking water. What is the most likely cause of this?..is it the high pressure water seal(s)? If so,how do I repair it?

Leaking dishwasher There is standing water in the dishwasher when it's not being used. Recently we had a garbage disposal installed and was wondering whether this may cause the water from the sink to settle in the dishwasher. Also, the water rises and leaks on the floor. We have to run a wash cycle to drain and dry out the dishwasher. What do you think the problem is?

My Bosch dishwasher is taking hours (at least 3 - maybe more) to complete a cycle. There is gummy, yucky stuff building up inside - sorta pinkish brownish. Could the water not be hot enough? A couple of months ago we installed an on-demand hot water heater and I wonder if that could have anythig to do with it. I've tried running the hot water in the sink first but that doesn't help. Any ideas

I have a Samsung dishwasher and a code comes up that says that there is a low-level water function problem. The solution in the manual says to run it empty to clean it. I suspect that the water level chamber may have food deposits in it causing the low-level sensor to misfunction. Where is the water level chamber and how do I clean it?

My Bosch dishwasher has had a problem since we had it installed. It smells like garbage after sitting for a few hours. This problem is there whether it has been run or not. Water is always standing in the large drain tube under the "filter" and it doesn't look clean. I contacted Bosch by phone as soon as this was discovered - in a matter of days after purchase - and was told by a rather haughty service person to leave the dishwasher door open. Not a practical suggestion even if it didn't sm

Bosch dishwasher, Model SMU 7056, UC 09, FD 7309. My older unit has operated flawlessly for years. Two days ago it started to "stall" in one cycle and not progress to the next, e.g., stayed in the wash cycle and would not move on to rinse. In addition the heat generated in the machine was way below normal. A repairman told me that if the water doesn't get hot enough, the unit will not move on to the next cycle. I always use the "Regular Wash" option, but tried other options such as 'Economy

We have had a problem with our dishwasher since "winterizing" it to close the cottage for the winter. We were told to run it for a few minutes with antifreeze in it and then turn off and let it overwinter with the antifreeze in it. Now the machine leaves everything coated with a white film, even though we have a water softener and use jetdry. How can we fix this and is this the proper way to winterize our dishwasher if we close down our cottage and turn off the heat for the winter?

It appears that water is not running through the dishwasher or that the sprayers are not working correctly. There doesn't appear to be a clog. However, I did find a round rubber "washer" (I think that is what they are called) laying in the bottom of the dishwasher - where does this part go. It was working fine until this wash. The heating element works fine but like I said it appears that something may be wrong with the spray tower. Please advise Model number of Hotpoint: HDA3420Z01BB T

Yes, it depends on the warranty for the washer. You could also check with your home owners insurance company it probably will cover the damage done to the floor. ... Frigidaire 24 in. FDB510LC Free-standing Dishwasher

Long cycles My dishwasher (approx 7 years old) will run in the wash cycle for hours...until I physically turn the nob to "rinse"; then it will stay in that cycle until I advance the knob to the final (expel water) stage. I checked the filter and the blades - no obstructions. Also, when completed, the dishes are hot, so I know the heating element is working.

My Bosch SHI4306UC dishwasher will not stop running in the rinse mode. I was wondering if it will not advance because the heater is not working well enough to increase the water temp to complete the cycle. Is this most likely the heating element and something that can be fixed by a homeowner? Thank you for your help, Steve
