Having problems with your Bosch Dishwashers ?

I have a Bosch 5306 from about 2001. It seems my problem is not unheard of, but the description of the diagnostic routine I've seen is lacking. My problem is this: Poor Cleaning / EXTREMELY Prolonged Cylce Time (i.e., Timer starts off at some time... then jumps UP to longer time... counts down through the cycle... stays on "1" for hours). I'm okay enough with tools and manuals to consider fixing it myself and am looking for: a) reasonable diagnosis; b) source for repair (not owner) manual; c

Hello,\015\012\015\012Welcome to FixYa.\015\012\015\012Based on your description I'd say the issue is most likely with the control...unfortunately. If you want to post back with your email address I can send you a service manual ( not owners manual ) and a better explaination of what's to follow. It all gets bunched together via my iphone which I'm using presently.\015\012\015\012Anyway, Bosch has had a history of this exact problem I'm about to lay out for you and this is the first thing I'd be looking for if called out to service the unit with the symptoms you've described. **B/S/H/ also issued a recall on certain models between 1999 - 2006 depending on the model & serial number, and it does apply to yours....based on just the model number, but check the serial number. It applies to serial numbers betweenFD7905 - FD8505 The issue was directly related to the heating circuit (specifically the heat relay on the control) Here`s the link if you want to see for yourself **\015\012\015\012http://microsites.boschappliances.com/safetyrecall/dishwasher/\015\012As I've alluded to the issue is likely within the electronic timer/control, specifically the heater relay solder joint. ( a faulty flow switch, ntc or heater can also cause this, but not very probable ).\015\012\015\012My first suggestion would be contacting Bosch re: the recall or calling in an authorized bosch service tech. if that is an option for you and your budget however, If you feel capable of checking this on your own, there`s a way to visually inspect the control yourself. \015\012It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board. The culprit will 99% of the times be one of the pins from the heater relay, inspect the solder joints, it will be obvious when you see it...hence the unit sit`s and takes longer & longer to finish eventually displaying the "1" error because it can`t heat to advance or unless the 2 buttons for "cancel" are pressed...or takes a long time as I mentioned.\015\012\015\012You can also run the unit through a regular or econo cycle ...any cycle with the exception of rinse & hold, and with the door panel removed place an ammeter on the gray/black wire it should draw 11 amps during the wash cycle...after it fills and the flow switch indicates it has adequate water to engage the heater.\015\012\015\012 \015\012**My Opinion - if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...but it has to be done well...or it will not last, although Bosch recommend`s replacing the control and I don`t pretend to speak on there behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)**\015\012\015\012**Please disconnect the power or turn off the breaker before attempting any service to the dishwasher.** \015\012\015\012\015\012As you alluded to though, sometimes one needs to call a tech. If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau/Siemens, to service your machine.\015\012\015\012Hope this answer`s your question, let me know if I can assist you further. \015\012\015\012Thank`s for visiting "FixYa" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution to it's helpfulness.\015\012\015\012Good luck.\015\012\015\012Regards,\015\012\015\012Macmarkus :)

I have a couple of problems. Firstly, the auto programme now shows a cycle time of 199mins but actually takes much longer than that to complete - more like 4 hours. On the quick (!) wash cycle the time is 97 minutes, whereas it should be less than 30 mins. Second problem, the detergent box flap won't stay shut when loading, so I have to put the tablet in loose in the bottom. Could the 2 problems be related?

There is an issue with the machine not heating properly, it could be the control panel or the thermostat, The flap not staying shut is not connected to this. ... Dishwashers

Have a Kenmore dishwasher #665.1677993, approx. 13 years old. Upon starting new cycle the pump turns on for a few short seconds, then off, then after a couple minutes it goes on again for a few seconds then off, then later in the cycle it does stay on for a longer period of time. In conjuntion with this intermitent problem it has begun leaking out the bottom of the front door. I have checked drain line, check valve, strainer/screen and vent in the door. I assume it is an electrical issue?

Kenmore Dishwasher model 665.1675592 doesn't seem to wash as well as it used to. Seems to have a low water level. Filler valve works, allows water in, but never seems to fill enough. No spray reaches top shelf, I think due to insufficient water level. It's like the timer doesn't stay on long enough for it to fill. Also cycle time seems WAY up, but if the timer is slow, how does it time out filling so fast? Looks like it would be slow all the time. Suggestions?

I have a Bosch dishwasher she44c05uc/40 It is 3-4 years old. Recently I noticed that the cycle times have gotten much longer. Since then there is a sewer smell in the washer especially when starting a new cycle it comes out of the disposal. I'm wondering if the pump isn't heating the water hot enough. I've also noticed that the dishes aren't getting near as clean as they were before all this started. Especially stuck on food. It used to clean everything now dishes almost need rinsed.

There is water in the bottom of dish washer after finishing. If I start another cycle, everything drains, so it's not a problem with the hose. I hear water draining. I think it is the drain time. When the machine was under warranty, the service guy came and changed the drain time to longer. He told me how to do it, via the buttons, but have now forgotten where I put such great information. I have a 1996 built in model.

Honda CU2400 1-MHC has been sitting in my parents garage for about 2 years. It was used once or twice. It looks new. I tried to start it and it wouldn't. I drained the gas and put new premium gas in it and it started but it won't stay running and the pressure is not what it should be. It doesn't clean as well as the electric one I used last time. So, my problem is, it won't stay running and when it is running it doesn't have enough pressure. Any ideas???

After starting the cycle, the dishwasher starts and runs normally for a short time, then the water drains out of the tub prematurely while the cycle is still going. The machine then runs dry until the cycle times out. At the next cycle and the process repeats. It started as a sporadic problem, but is getting worse.
