We have a Bosch SHU9925UC dishwasher, installed in 2002. In August 2010, the water didn't drain, and a service technician discovered melted wire nuts at the main incoming power junction, presumably due to a loose connection there. He re-wired it. Now it's March 2011 and yesterday we smelled electric fire smoke coming from the dishwahser, opened it up and again found melted wirenuts. So is it really just poor installation, given that now 2 different installers have created the same problem?

Bosch Dishwasher hi, was thinking of buying a second hand bosch aquasensor dishwasher.. I think the model is Bosch SGS46M78AU.. anyhow thw current owner says it needs 'minor electrical repair to circuit board' and when queried further said that sometimes it washed in normal time and at other times it took up to two hours. My Maytag MDB9150AWS is no longer working due to what I believe is a electrical fire in the front control panel as there was smoke coming out of the top of the front panel. There were no flames but the smell took your breath away. We had to open the Kitchen windows and door for several hours to try to get rid of the smell, but you can still smell it by the dishwasher.
