I am installing a Kenmore dishwasher model 13743. I have direct wired the washer?s terminal box wires to the wall power via a BX wire and the washer doesn?t respond. None of the panel buttons are active. With a multimeter, I find that there is voltage on the wall wires and on the dishwasher end of the BX cable wires that hard wired to the wall current. Even though, when I connect the dishwasher?s terminal box wires to the BX wires as directed in the Installation Instructions (white to white,

I'm attempting to reuse a Maytag dishwasher motor for a bench grinder. Since this is a reversible motor, I'm not sure how to connect the wiring to a simple switch so that it works in one direction only. The motor has 4 wires: blue, gray, red, yellow. Not sure which to connect to the hot (black), return (white) and ground (bare) wires from the romex and can't find a wiring diagram online for this dishwasher. Any ideas? Thanks.

While installing maytag dishwasher mdbh949awb, a wire became unplugged under the machine; noticed it dangling down after all water, drain etc. were connected. It's a brown wire; 2 strand; it has a white plastic plug/connector on the end. Any proposed solutions, short of removing the machine and starting over, would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

We have a Bosch SHU9925UC dishwasher, installed in 2002. In August 2010, the water didn't drain, and a service technician discovered melted wire nuts at the main incoming power junction, presumably due to a loose connection there. He re-wired it. Now it's March 2011 and yesterday we smelled electric fire smoke coming from the dishwahser, opened it up and again found melted wirenuts. So is it really just poor installation, given that now 2 different installers have created the same problem?

Well, hard to say at this point. Your wiring sounds correct, but there may be some other stuff going on which you may have not anticipated. First off, what size breker is attached to the wires you connected to the machine. Most household machine requ ... Dishwashers

Bosch APEXX model number SHY99A05UC/14 lost power. Power input line appears to have arced (white power line and wire nut show signs of stress). The power breaker did not throw at the junction box. Already cut back wire and re-attached new wire nut along with replacing the breaker at the junction box. Still no power. There are no other visible signs of power stress or water damage underneath the unit or inside the doo panel.

I do not have access to the user or service manual for this model.\015\012However, such symptoms could be result of heater element or thermal overload fuse blowing. Do you remember having a very hot dishwasher when the it lost power.\015 ... Bosch Dishwashers

My power button cover broke on the dishwasher and I figured out the part number I needed, but when I put it back together I got the wires crossed on the board and door switch. Now the control lights up , but the dishwasher will not run a cycle. Did I break the switch? Bosch SHU9956uc/14

The wires do have to be a certain way on the door. Otherwise a door open can tell the board that's it shut and vice versa. The easiest way to do it, is test the switch with an ohmmeter, place the meter on the switch, push button in and see if the rea ... Bosch SHU9956 Built-in Dishwasher

We have a 6 year old Jenn Air dishwasher model JDB2150AWP We had a cracked door close unit which we replaced but got a short while restoring connections I am wondering if there is an internal circuit breaker, relay or fuse on these machines that we need to check and possibly replace since we cannot get it to run at all. No power or lights at all. I believe all connections are secure and we replaced the door close unit with new parts.

I have an Asko DW1875 dishwasher (10yrs old) which has just recently started having problems. The initial symptom was that during a washing cycle, unit showed '1' and inside became very hot (melting some plastic cups/plates in unit). On further investigation (with diagnostic mode), the dishwasher is filling and draining with no problem. When circulation pump runs there is barely any water pressure in blades (just dribbles out) and water leaks into undertray via a plastic white tab near front (v
