Having problems with your Bosch Integra® 500 SHX55M05UC Built-in Dishwasher ?

Bosch dishwasher (SXH55MO6UC/46): The power comes on and runs normal, but no water is coming into the unit. I was told that it was a water inlet valve that needs to be replaced (part #263833). I need to know if this is what needs to be replaced and if so, is this something that I can do or do I need an expert repair service to do it? If it is something that I can do, I need instructions. I am handy, but this is something that I have not done before, Thank you, Craig Covey

Answers :

Hi Craig,

Yes it may be the fill valve...but first take off the pipe or hose and check the screen just inside the fill valve...some do not have it but most do...also check that water comes out of the hose or pipe at the valve....
THEN, change the valve if needed....
The change out is not hard but is a pain in the **** as you need to lay on the floor and work sideways to do it...in a very tight space....but normal hand tools are all you will need...some patience and an hour or so,,,,

Hereis a tip that will help you to find out why water will not come into thedishwasher...

Me service man never did that and when I asked him about it he said that is not the problem and would not replace it. I have an zanussi LS6 and in the display it on and off shows the A1 and B2 and spills water. The problem though is not what normally comes with A1 and B2. Somehow the water gets to electrical parts and all power is out in the café. Several experts that has been to see the machine clame it has something to do with the electrical system - that measueres when there is enough water. They say it has something to do with machine having the salt container and they have all given up repairing it. I boug

My dishwasher works except is does not appear to be getting water. David psr responded: Most likely the water valve is defective or stopped up with calcium deposits. In either event, you probably need to replace the water fill valve. Not a terribly expensive nor difficult job on most dishwashers. Do I call a plumber, appliance store repair department or look for a local handy man?

I agree that the fill valve may be bad or clogged. You can fairly easily remove the valve yourself if you are somewhat handy and then take it apart and clean it. I doubt if the old valve is electrically shot but it is possible. Cleaning it out may ... GE Dishwashers

Hi there I purchased a Simpson Riviera 966 Dishwasher about 10 years ago and was very happy with it. All of a sudden water was flooding the kitchen from somewhere under the dishwasher, and not having the money to repair it at the time, it has just been sitting, and possibly the seals may need replacing. All electronic funtions seem OK on it however. Would it be possible to give me a quote on repairing the dishwasher - I HATE washing up !!!! My name is Hartley Cowderoy, and I Live at 65 Rosemount

I just finished a service call for my 5312UC/UC12. The tecnician says he saw water leaking under neath the machine but hoses were secure and no visible crack to the motor housing, The machines pump works but very little water is actually put into the tub, hence no dishwashing. This technician says that this is a repair that most technicians avoid because it takes a long time and costs alot and violated some sort of warranty. He recommend replacement after only 7 years!

Our school uses a UH-150B dishwasher. Is there a filter or screen in the back of the machine that needs to be replaced or cleaned periodically? I need to find a service repair man in NYC for emergency servicing to my Fagor LVC-21W. It has literally blown a fuse or something in the base of it because we heard a pop and then saw sparks. Additionally, the tubes that take in the soap/detergent have detached themselves and nothing in getting clean. The main problem now though is that we cannot even turn it on because of the blown out fuse/part. Can someone help??

Kenmore Elite I replaced most of my appliances 3 years ago with Kenmore Elite and I've had problems intermittently while the appliances were under warranty, but when the repair person arrives, no problem is detected. Once the appliance is no longer under warranty, the problem becomes persistent. At one point when I explained the difficulty, the technical support person said something to the effect of, "Oh that's an easy one to fix. All you need to do is...Oh wait, the warranty expired on the 3rd

So I found this power washer for sale. The seller claims that the washer generates a good stream of water, not just full power. He also mentions that after a few minutes the engine starts to bog down like it is working extra hard. Does this sound like a pump issue? Could something be clogged or would the pump need to be replaced? Or should I avoid this power washer?

I have a Miele 24 in.
