The dishwasher is stuck in the drain cycle Bosch SHX46A

\015 Bosch dishwasher model SHX46A\015\012\015\012 The dishwasher is stuck in the drain cycle and doesn't turn off when you open the door. It does turn off with the on/off switch, but when you turn it back on, even with the door open, it keeps draining. If you pour water down to the drain it sucks it out\015

You have a leak,or the something has the float stuck in the open position. when water gets in the base the float raises and the uni automatically drain until the water is out of base. if this helps post a 4 thumbs up post
Mine is a SHU6805, but I had exactly the same symptoms. The machine was stuck on 81 minutes left and for about two hours I could hear a consistent sound - it was not cycling through. Pressing cancel did not change anything. Only pushing the on/off button would stop the machine. But when turned back on, the noise would start right back up again.
Thanks to the FixYa community, the signs pointed to a problem with the float switch. In my model, removing the toe plate doesn't get you anywhere, so I had to slide my machine out and remove the left side panel. Key to this were the two hidden screws on the front of the machine (with the door open) hiding in the rubber strip. After removing the screws, the side pulls toward you from the top (including the rubber strip) and then can be removed tilting slightly toward the back to get loose from the plastic nubs on the rear side of the panel. With the panel removed, there is a long red plastic piece that is right in front of you and there is access to the plastic tray underneath where water may have collected.
I had no water, but when I slid this stick up and down, there appeared to be a bit of resistance as though something was stuck underneath. A closer look (with a flashlight) illuminated a pile of styrofoam! Yes, I had a mouse take up residence in my machine and (s)he had eaten about a third of styrofoam float that was attached to the red stick. I vacuumed all of the loose styrofoam out and then turned back on the power (flipped the breaker back on) and started up the machine. All was good, and it was fun to watch the water cycle through with the side of the machine off!
So for me, endless cycling of the drain pump was, indeed, a problem with the float switch...although caused by a mouse eating styrofoam and not by a water leak.

I have a bosch dishwasher SHE43C06UC22 (non-LED version). It's stuck in the drain cycle and continues to run even when opening the door (it should stop, but it doesn't). As a test, I poured a large glass of water in the bottom of the dishwasher and it drained it into the sink as it should, but it continues to run in the drain mode with no water in it. I've heard I either have a float stuck or an emergency drain switch or leak somewhere causing the dishwasher to continue in the drain mode. Ho

This thing has never drained properly. You have to hit the cancel/drain button a few times for it to finally drain. I don't think it drains completely after wash and before rinse because everything comes out covered in particles that weren't there going in. We've checked the hose, and for stuck food with no luck. There aren't many dishwasher repairmen in my area and I'm at the point it's just a giant drying rack while I hand wash. Any advice would be welcome!
