Assuming you tried choking it when you tried to start it, verifiy its getting gas,if not tap lightly on the bowl of carburator. if it is getting gas, check for spark

Pressure washer has been sitting up for about 2 years.. worked perfectly before I parked it.. lol.. But, I put a new spark plug on, cleaned the filter, sprayed carb cleaner in it drained the gas tank and added new gas.. But it still does the same thing.. It starts in the choke position, runs awhile, and then shuts off. While its running, I tried to put the switch in the run position and it kills. Just wanted to see what an expert would say about the matter before I Brake it down. thanks

I have a Karcher 2,600 PSI 2.3 GPM Gas Pressure Washer G 2600 VHR that I have used once last summer. I have stored the PW in my basement with no fuel in the gas tank. The PW was never exposed to freezing temps. I cannot get the PW to start. I put new fuel into the tank, the oil is good, I drained the carburetor, and the spark plug works (tested it). I pull the cord and the engine doesn't turn. Fuel value is on, choke is pulled, and the starter switch is turned on. System is practically brand new

I tried to start it but it would not fire up so I change the gas, oil, and spark plug, took apart the carburator and cleaned it out with carb cleaner. While trying to start it after I sprayed starting fluid in the air cleaner I noticed that gas was coming back from the crankcase breather hose into the air filter choking

I have a Briggs & Stratton gas power washer. This is the 1st time this year that I have used it. I put in fresh gas, hooked up the water supply. The engine started and then quickly stopped. I had to release the water pressure in the hose before I could pull start the engine. The only way to keep the engine running is to hold down the spray nozzle trigger. Once that is released the pressure in the hose builds up and the engine stops.

I have two DeVilbiss issues: First, on my pressure washer, I no longer get pressure on "high" mode from the hose. I prime the pump but it doesn't seem to be creating enough force for a high pressure. Second, on my generator, the gas from the gas tank leaks out. The tank is plastic or poly and don't know if it's a gasket issue.
