I have a model PW 2200 gas pressure washer. It suddenly lost it's high pressure the other day after working fine for @10 minutes. It's getting plenty of water, but the engine doesn't seem to rev up to give it the high pressure. The operating instructions say to check the oil in the engine, and the PUMP before starting, but I haven't found any place to check for an oil level in the pump????Any ideas, I'm very confused.

I ran my pressure washer today in an effort to run some "stabilized" gas through it for the winter. For some reason the pump began to push oil out the top relief hole. If thats not clear, it's a feature that looks like a priming pump but is rigid. By the way, the oil appeared a bit nourish gray. Not sure if that means anything. Any ideas?

It looks as if moisture/water has contaminated the oil. Check the level of oil from the glass window. It must be high. Drain out the oil & check if water is present, if so then replace the entire oil. ... Dewalt DPD3100 Gas Pressure Washer

Hi. I have a Briggs & Stratton 2800PSI gas pressure washer. I can get it to start, but after about 5 min, then it quits. I have cleaned the carb, change oil, changed plug, new gas, cleaned/checked air filter. Nothing will keep it running. Wondering if it may be not enough water pressure, but would that cause it to stop like that? When it runs, it does a good job, but it stops just as you get going. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!

Started by Craftsman 2700 PSI , 2.3 GPM Briggs & Stratton Powered Pressure Washer for first time in 9 months. Added new oil, and gas. started but is smoking from muffler and is dripping what appears to be oil near the exhaust end. I shut it down. What could this be due to?

The first thing I would check would be the oil level, to make sure you didn't put in too much oil. If the oil level is correct, it could be a stuck piston ring, letting oil blow by the piston, and out the exhaust. If this is the case, you are going ... My Troy Bilt power washer (using Honda GCV160 engine) has no pressure coming from the pump. I checked the water flow, everything seems fine. I believe the pump needs oil added, however, I can't seem to firgure it out (how to add oil to the pump). I did notice that previously, I used to see drops of oil coming from under the pump. I I have a bad seal, can I add oil and test the pressure before I change the seal? Please advise.

I had a similar problem. Turns out I had left the hose disconnected and some sort of wasp built a paper type nest inside the washer tube that the hose connects to. I had to take the pump off and take apart and then cleaned it out with a screw driver. ... Honda Black Max 2600 PSI Pressure Washer
