My dishwasher did not clean well. I replaced the seal on the bottom spray arm. there is a wobble now. the nut does not seem to screw down tightly. there is nothing wrong with the nut, it simply does not reach. I don't know if the lower arm is supposed to wobble, or if the nut should screw down tight. I can't seem to find a picture anywhere so I can visualize exactly how the spray are fits together. I have a SJV 2.5 G27-1 3400 RPM -- ref part: 1982520 Hose Tail The Soap Injector barb got it's threads stripped after I took it off to clean it out, and replaced it (apparently, carelessly). Is this just a standard part I can pick up at a local DIY store? Or is it somehow special? What is the male threads size/type? I checked the corresponding female threads, they look a little scuffed, but I hope they are OK, else I am probably screwed, sigh.

The note by FixAllPhil entitled "Poor cleaning or noisy pump on Whirlpool or Kenmore dishwasher" has a significant error. The first step should be to "Remove the lower wash arm (1) by turning the nut CLOCKWISE (right)". I damaged the threads on my dishwasher nut by trying to turn it counterclockwise. Once that error is corrected, please remove this post.
