Having problems with your Danby 17 in. DDW1802W Designer Series Built-in Dishwasher ?

Danby Built In Dishwasher DDW1802W

\015 Cycle is not kicking in properly. No water in system. Pipes do not seem to be frozen (cold weather up here these last two days). I saw the response to this problem where I should look for the valve under the kick plate or the fill valve and cannot find either. My dishwasher has a stainless steel tub. There is a filter in the pan and a salt container but I see no fill valve. Behind the kick plate is a box where the power is located and the source for the water but I still don't see the valve. Please advise. I was hoping to hold off on redesign of kitchen until summer. Thanks!\015

I had a repair tech (highly recommend for Metro Milwaukee WI repairs- All City Appliance LLC 414.243.1579) who figured it out.  He clarified, it is not a 'fill switch,' but an 'overflow float.'  It is the white styrafoam ball looking thing- you have to pull the little black cap/ cover off the drain to let out 'overflow' water that has collected in there, resulting in only the drain pump running and NO water entering system- which seems to have been all of our problems.  It was surprisingly easy, and I know what to do in the future thanks to the great explanation by the repair tech, and very reasonably priced too!\015\012
\015\012You have to pull the unit out, and the float flow is located on the left, bottom side of the dishwasher.  Works like a champ now!  (I actually have the built-in 18 inch)
With the cycle not working, it could be the timer not functionally properly as it controls the cycles the dishwasher goes through. The water valve is located near the pump of the dishwasher. To get a diagram of your unit, please refer to this website http:///www3.sears.com and have our database search up your model number. Djmanus, the noise could be a motor related problem, but I cannot be for sure without being at the unit and diagnosing the situation.

I have a 7 year old Kenmore 24" (mod. 16532201) built-in dishwasher. For the past several months now I have noticed a dark almost greasy film covering the inside of the dishwasher after doing a load of dishes. It can also be found around the soap dispenser door, basically everywhere. I'm wondering if the black rubber around the inside front of the dishwasher is deteriorating. It doesn't appear to be damaged or cracked. I have tried "Finish" dishwashing cleaner several times, but to no avail

I have a hotpoint built in automatic dishwasher model HDA3740G02SA. When my dishwasher runs all the cups on the top shelf seem to have dishwashing soap powder left in the bottom of the cups. I do not over fill the cup where you put the dish washer powder in. It seems like it isn't rinsing the glasses and cups on the top rack of the dishwasher properly. Do you know what the problem would be and how to correct it?

Make sure the arm on top isnt hitting something, each time you load it each in there and spin it to be sure it moves freely, also make sure your rinse agent container is full of rinse agent. ... Hotpoint 24 in. HDA3740G Built-in Dishwasher
