Having problems with your Danby DDW497W 22 in. Countertop Dishwasher ?

Buzzing noise I had the same problem...returned dishwasher to store...they replaced it....I have had it about 3 weeks and it is starting to make the same buzzing noise as the first one. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it???

Answers :

I contacted danby and they told me that is how the unit was built. the buzzer would go off for about 1 minute and then would start up about 15 minutes later. I have decided not to buy any more products from this company. They should state this in their product literature.

I have just moved into a home with the DS-603i and used it for the first time. I put it on the first load and seemed to go for way to long. so i opened it up and t washed the first load ok, but continued to make noises. It would make these noises even when draw opened. Turn on & off at power and it doesn't change the noises. The light on inside indicates rince, which i think is a F1 error code according to the manual online. Any tips on how to fix this?

The F1 error code indicated a leak problem. The noise that you hear is from the pump motor. There is a leak due to the top lid not sealed properly, so the water is shooting out during the wash cycle. It did not seal tightly because there are 2 actuat ... Fisher and Paykel 24 in. DS-603 Built-in Dishwasher

I have a MDBH945AWW that is just over one year old. It has just started making a various new noises. Grinding, loud buzzing and such. Still cleaned the dishes and completed the full cycle. I followed the solution that bgreenatown gave for removing obstacles. Found some soft material but did not seem that it would cause an obstruction. Removed it and put it back together but it is still making noises. Any next steps?

Maytag HDB8600AWW Dishwasher had been making noise (thought might be water valve, like previous DW), eventually stopped draining water, water now in bottom, I've let sit for couple weeks, looked inside, water was gone, I tried running again, it filled with water, but heard humming control panel noises for first time, then shuts itself off. Also, my handle needs replaced. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks in advance. David Weaver

Code F2 I just replaced the door switch on an inoperable DD-602. My top drawer was working fine, but my bottom one has been offline for a while (door switch failed and I never got around to fixing it since I had the top). Well, my top finally failed too so I replaced both switches. Looks like everything is good on the top, but my bottom is erroring with an F2 code now. Kindof makes a thumping noise as it starts the cycle -- maybe 3-5 short thumps and then a 10 second delay, repeats. Any ideas? C

Fisher Paykel Double Drawer DD601v2. Half way thru a cycle the alarm went on both drawers even though the top one was not inuse or switched on. The error on both drawers is F1. If we push the power button on both after a few seconds they both start up making a whirring noise and both drawers flashing. We have to unplug the machine to stop the irritation. What is wrong and how can we mere mortals fix it ?

Hi,The F1 error means that the sensor that is located in the pan at the bottom of the machine has sensed water. It does not want either machine to run with a leak so it will shut down the operation of both drawers. ... Fisher and Paykel Dishwashers

My kenmore/whirlpool dishwasher makes a noise, sort of a grinding noise, throughout most of the cycle. I have removed the pump and motor thinking that their might be something in the pump, but there is nothing there. My guess is that the motor is making the noise, but I do not know how to tell other than by replacing the motor and seeing if the noise goes away.

We recently purchased a new pump for our frigidaire gld4355rf dishwasher. The old one started making grinding noises. When we moved the dishwasher it had leaked due to a failure of an interior seal. Our new pump is now making the same grinding noise but it is not constant. When my husband adjusted the pump by using his hand when he got into a certain position the noise stops. We keep the screens clean. Is there an issue with the pump in this model?

The dishwasher makes a horribly loud sound when running. I think it has to do with the lower "spinner arm". When I push it manually, it wobbles and makes noise. So I am guessing that spinning at higher speeds would cause much more noise. Can I fix it?

Dishwasher is making a loud grinding noise when it's started. Doesn't matter the cycle choice; the cycle starts as normal then once started up starts making a sort of grinding noise as the water is pulsing, like something is stuck or blocking the "push" of water. I couldn't see anything stuck in the bottom - any thoughts before I call a repair person? I've never owned a dishwasher before - maybe there's a basic drain/blockage thing I should check out first? And, any recommendations for repair
