Having problems with your Dewalt 3800 PSI Pressure Washer ?

Got a Dewalt 3800 PSI Pressure Washer with 4.0 GPM with a Honda GX 390 gas engine. Tipped it up to roll it out to my truck and got a big puddle of water with what looked like Pump oil in the puddle. Can you help???? It is less than a year old with 10-15 hours on it.....

Answers :

Could very well be. Did you check the oil level and condition of oil? If its too full or if its light brown milky, then water has entered crankcase. Pressure washer pumps cannot stand to ever let run dry. Even a little. Also excessive idling will overheat pump if it doesn't have a thermostatic relief valve that allows some more cool water to enter pump.If it doesn't have one add one. Find your PUMP mfg and model number. IF it's pumping good now and no leaks, quick replacing the seals will save big future repairs. www.pressure-washer-parts.com has lots of info on many pump manufactures. Or get some seals from dewalt.

Have a Westinghouse 905 dishwasher (guessing approx 5-10yrs old). When I turn it on it's starts is cycle as expected then stops after about 10mins and loses all power (can't turn it on or get any lights to light up for sometime almost like it needs to cool down) at this point the dishwasher is full of water. It is not the pump however as as soon as you can get power to it (sometimes some hours later) and turn it on the first thing it does is pump out the water. Any ideas??

It is likely the thermal relay is tripping. This could be because if you are feeding hot water to inlet the temperature of water is too high, or the dishwasher heater is faulty and overheating the water. Or it is also possible the thermal cutout is s ... Westinghouse Dishwashers

It went thru the whole cycle and when I opened it up - there was water still left in the bottom - hit the cancel/drain button and nothing happened. Unhooked the drain line to the drain pipe under the sink and no water came out. How do I find out if it is the pump ? If I take it out - what do I need to look for and what trouble shoot things do I need to know. FDW60 dishwasher Hi My dishwasher is about 15 months old and the problem I have is that it seems to stay on pump and the Ecco45 light is flashing.  A repair company looked at the machine and said that the motor looked like it was leaking and water was getting in the bottom setting off the micro-switch.  He contacted Hotpoint who fitted a new motor today at a cost of £89.85.  Went to use dishwasher tonight and we still have the same problem.  The dishwasher started the washing programme for about

I've just (as of 10 minutes ago) had the same problem. I followed the advice given elsewhere in this forum and removed the bottom cover - water running out so needed a big towel to mop it up. I have a Kenmore Quietguard Standard model 587 Dishwasher. It's about 3 years old. Lately, it has been running fine through the first hour and then towards the end, it will pause and the "Hi Temp" and "Heat Dry" like will start blinking at the same time. It's like it is stalled. When this happens, I open up the door and look at the bottom of the dishwasher were the screen is, and I see there is standing water. I press the "Start/Cancel" button to help it drain all the way, which it does, but th

The dishwasher doesn't seem to have nearly enough water in it. The upper sprayer arm doesn't seem to be spinning when running (I open the door and look really quick) and the lower one looks like it barely spins and barely sprays water. The dishes are barely wet and the soap is just laying on the bottom. The water is on, there are no kinks in the supply line. It sounds like it is running, and pumps pumping, but being brand new I am not sure what it should sound like. It certainly doesn't sound li

It is hobart kdi-21a. I got the water out but looks like it is garbage in the bottom. Big screen open but maybe down in the pump? Can I remove the lower X wash arm, no screw but a big rivet?

You can lift off the wash arm and pump screen. You will see the pump shell with screws to separate the top from the bottom. Next is the wash impeller with a center screw and a drive washer. Under the impeller are shims. Don't loose any. The same with ... Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher

New dishwasher (Beko 2542F slimline model). Put it on for 1st time last night -when I got up this morning, the cycle which should have taken just over 2 hours hadn't finished. There's soapy water in the bottom of the machine which hasn't drained and the "wash" light is still on. Looks like the dishes are clean but hasn't moved onto the rinse/dry part. Followed instruction in manual to drain it (hold start stop button till lights flash and should drain in 45 sec) but nothing happened.

My Bosch dishwasher is 8 years old and always worked well.. About a year or two ago the dishes started coming out dirtier than when they were put in, frequently encrusted with dirt and shredded dirt which looked like finelly shredded vegetable discards from the garbage disposal. The first set of repairmen sold me a new pump. The next people told me there was nothing wrong with it. The third repairman told me that I have to set the water heater on very High (for $98.00)

My sound conditioned Whirlpool dishwasher is real old. It fills up completely with water. It looks like it will overflow, so I stop it. I thought it always started washing from the start. Do they always fill completely up with water, then start washing. I never noticed. I am afraid the water will overflow. Can it? Last time I ran this, it had a real loud motor. I used to hear the motor running from the start, but now I don't, just water filling up to what looks like overflow if I let it. I baile

Hello, I have a Kitchen Aid (model # KUDMO1T JWHO) dishwasher that runs the motor in all cycles, with water fill & drain working fine, but the pump is not pumping water during any cycle, as the spinners and the inside of the washer are dry when I open the door, except for the water sitting in the bottom. Also, no normal swishing sound of water when the motor runs in any cycle. Looks to me like a mechanical break in the pump drive. How do I check the pump drive on this model? Do you have any

Dishwasher fills with hot water. Float OK - water feed stops when full. Motor humms but no water spray (in all opperating modes). Cancel selection (with cancel button) and close the door. The water drains then the unit shuts off. Water feed OK. Drain Cycle OK. Looks like spray pump hung but do not know. Cannot find a reset button (as with disposal) or way to free hung pump motor. I did see glass pieces in the drain. Possibly a small piece hanging the motor.

GE PDW7300 dishwasher - must slam the door shut to get a light on the panel and when the START button is pressed, it looks like the dishwasher is cycling thru a wash, but there is no water. Water leaks from underneath the unit. Water only leaks when the pump cuts on (pressurizes). Plastic Pieces We purchased our ASKO 1385 dishwasher 7-8 years ago. Over the years, I have found "small square, thin, pieces of gray plastic" inside. Where are these coming from? Also, we have replaced the drain pump 2 years ago and looks like we'll be replaced the main pump within the next few days as no water is going through. We are looking at paying big $$$ for that pump. Almost half as much as purchasing a new dishwasher. Is this a common problem?

Dishes and the dishwasher look dirty after they run, like it redistributed dirty water. The door is very dirty/filmy except right under the soap dispenser, like someone squirted dirty water on it but wiped right under the soap dispenser. I ran my pressure washer today in an effort to run some "stabilized" gas through it for the winter. For some reason the pump began to push oil out the top relief hole. If thats not clear, it's a feature that looks like a priming pump but is rigid. By the way, the oil appeared a bit nourish gray. Not sure if that means anything. Any ideas?

It looks as if moisture/water has contaminated the oil. Check the level of oil from the glass window. It must be high. Drain out the oil & check if water is present, if so then replace the entire oil. ... Dewalt DPD3100 Gas Pressure Washer
