I have a Maytag DWU8250BAX and the thing leaks like crazy. I just replaced the door gasket, but that is not the problem. When I took a closer look at the door it seems as though the water is getting up and into the door through a space in the bottom of the door. It seems to me like there should be another door seal to fill a gap that sits between the door hinges. If anyone knows if there should be a seal here and then what the part number might be that would be great. Thanks!

There is an airgap under the door..it should spray up and run down the door not spray up under it..look for crack or hole in spray arm..if there is the wrong soap in it it will flood out with lots of bubbles..just have to flush it out. lastly, if you ... Dishwashers

Kenmore model#587(Frigidaire) leaks under door. New install. Had machine for a year plus before install. took off front panel- can see water squirting past lower door gasket as wash arms rotate. cause is water running down door during wash cycle piles up in the channels molded into the lower left & right side of the wash tub and pushes out the sides of the lower gasket. looks like a design issue- called SEARS, they just want to sell me a new gasket! go figure. any ideas on a fix?

It does sound like an inner door seal ,however If you get upset at Sears and complain they may help you as they say the squeaky hinge gets the oil..And with Sears the more you squeak the better your chances of results ...Good Luck ... Dishwashers

Quit working during wash cycle, about 6 liters of water left in bottom, looks like it quit during rinse cycle. There is power to the door switch and door switch works shutting off power when door is opened. However the control panel does not respond to any push button. I have had a problem in the past with moisture from the door vent getting into the control panel area causing the push buttons to become eratic.

The capacitors in the control panel could be bad or have burnt out. Do check all connnections and if necessary, check the continuity of the power to and from the control panel with an ohm/voltmeter. ... Dishwashers

My problem is that 2-3 hours after use the tub fills up with water and leaks all over floor. there is what looks like a "D" shaped vent or something on the left side of tub about 1/2 way down appears ther is a trickle of water comming out of this.

Ok here's what the problem could be. Under the dishwasher there is a water valve the is where the water line connects to the dishwasher, This may possibly be a blue valve. From the sound of your problem the valve is not quite shutting off possibly ... Dishwashers

I have a Whirlpool Gold GU3600XTSY0 Model. There is slow water leak from the right side bottom front of the dishwasher. It looks like the water is leaking from a sensor on the bottom. FDW60 dishwasher Hi My dishwasher is about 15 months old and the problem I have is that it seems to stay on pump and the Ecco45 light is flashing.  A repair company looked at the machine and said that the motor looked like it was leaking and water was getting in the bottom setting off the micro-switch.  He contacted Hotpoint who fitted a new motor today at a cost of £89.85.  Went to use dishwasher tonight and we still have the same problem.  The dishwasher started the washing programme for about

My GSD5940Do1ss leaks from what appears to be a tube that is in the middle left of the underside. There are no leaks from the hoses or pumps. It only leaks when it is adding water during the wash or rinse cycle. The part it is leaking from looks like a plastic tube that is part of the tub enclosure. There are four of them and I think they are really the mounting guides for the tub enclosure, which means the water is probably flowing down the tub to this spot. I'm assuming that means my seal arou

Smeg DWF612WH dishwasher has developed a leak. Water comes out of the rectangular hole on the side of the water softner used to mount what looks like a level or pressure switch. A few seconds after the fill valve opens water leaks out, not a lot just a small trickle. After the washer has filled and goes ito its cycle, it does not leak again. Over the past weeks the problem has got progressively worse.

I own a Miele G977 Plus dishwasher. There is what looks like a vent at the top left corner of the door. During the course of a wash a noise that sounds like a fan comes from this vent. Whwn the wash is complete and I open the door of the dishwasher water flows out of the vent onto my kitchen floor. What is the problem and how do I rectify it. Tom

Hi Tom, welcome to Fixya.\015\012\015\012The issue is likely just the blower and housing drain hose blocked with "crude" from time & use. If you take the door panel off ( watch those edges they are VERY sharp ) and unfasten the control panel as well ... Dishwashers

Hi ..I have an Excell gas pressure washer model no. Exwgv2121-3 with Faip 2100 psi 2 gpm vertical shaft pump..the problem is that there is water leaking from every weep hole at the bottom of the pump when running. Oddly enough, the pump still puts out significant pressure but less than it should due to the leaking water. What is the most likely cause of this?..is it the high pressure water seal(s)? If so,how do I repair it?

We recently bought a house with a Kenmore 363.16222100 (?) dishwasher. No manual. Monday night it didn't drain properly and leaked some water on the kitchen floor. The cycle had finished when we saw the water on the floor. We bailed out the excess water. I took off the drain cover and insert. I couldn't see an obvious clog problem, but cleaned it out. Then I tried a short cycle, interrupting it to shorten it. No problem. Water seemed to drain fine. I did find a part that looked like a straw and

Poor drying, mold building up in the tub. The condensing drying system is not working well. I pulled the unit out and removed a panel on the left side (facing washer). Saw that the plastic box that appears to be set up for moist air removal and vents to the tub had considerable mold in it at the top of one of the passage ways. Looked like it might be blocking air flow. Could this be a cause of poor drying? Can this unit be removed and cleaned? Also soap isn't dissolving. Bad board controllin

Definitely sounds like a gasket issue. Anytime a carb or manifold is taken apart, it's a idea to replace the gasket. Old gaskets are compressed and can compromise the seal after reassembly. A new gasket(s) will assure a proper seal and prevent lea ... Karcher 2500 PSI Pressure Washer
