Having problems with your Fisher and Paykel 23 in. DD-603SS Built-in Dishwasher ?

Hi, I have a Fisher & paykel DD603. A really bad smell has developed which appears to come from under the top panel encasing the dishwasher. How do I remove this panel to locate the source of this smell?

Answers :

HI- If you mean the front panel they are removed by taking out the plastic retainers that are on each side of the drawer near the front and bottom of the drawer. They are round and about 1/2" in diameter and have a raised straight portion in the middle, they sit flush with the plastic sides. Use needle nose pliers and pull hard. Once both are out grab the bottom of the front panel and pull down, the panel should "slide" off. Be sure to have the power off to the unit (unplugged) because if there is an electrical short that is casing the short all the wires will be exposed and could give you a shock if they are melted. The controller will be in the upper right hand portion of the drawer front. Smell there. I've see them short out and be black and crispy. Good luck. Getting the panel back on is difficult but be patient and don't force it.

My Maytag MDB9150AWS is no longer working due to what I believe is a electrical fire in the front control panel as there was smoke coming out of the top of the front panel. There were no flames but the smell took your breath away. We had to open the Kitchen windows and door for several hours to try to get rid of the smell, but you can still smell it by the dishwasher. This model is not part of the recall. Has anyone else had a similar problem with this model?

My dishwasher (same make and model) had a similar problem except I did see some sparks coming out from th front on the side of it (on Thanksgiving Day no less - a lot of manual diswahing followed). What the problem ultimatly was is what I believe to ... Dishwashers

Bosch Dishwasher I have a stainless steel Bosch dishwasher, I made the "mistake" to try to see if I could fix the jammed handle from the door. I would like to put it back together, but I dont have any diagrams on the door to make sure all parts are in place to put the door back together. I have been havin

My GSD3600 GE Dishwasher will not finish/start a cycle. The washer filled with water and during the cycle I heard a pop like someone knocked something over in the kitchen. I have a Kenmore Elite Dishwasher Model 665.13773K600. It seems to have no power to the touch pad (top) control panel. I have already checked the circuit breaker and the power to the dishwasher. GE Potscrubber 650 Dishwasher, 13 years old. We want to take the front lower panel off to move the motor fan by hand, as you described for glideston'es post, but we can't figure out how to get the panel off. A repairman told us to remove the three screws at the top of the lower panel -- but they are too close to the upper door panel. The space between the two panels is not big enough to fit a screwdriver or any other tool we can think of. How do we remove the lower panel?

I have a frigidaire dishwasher - model number PLDB998AC1. There are two spray arms in this dishwasher - lower and upper. The lower works fine but the upper spray arms are not spinning. There is what I think adequate water pressure coming in from the top but no movement on the upper spray arm. I have a GE dishwasher with the following model number: GSD3230F00WW. Last night, while the dishwasher was in the clean cycle, a buzzing/grinding sound came from underneath the dishwasher. I removed the access panel to try to isolate the sound. It appeared to come from a solenoid that was connected to an arm that opened and closed something. I am not sure if the solenoid is bad or if there was something that was preventing it from operating properly. I moved the arm to which it was connected

Door leak The dishwasher is 2 and half year old and is randomly leaking for at least one year or even more. The leak originally occurred at both lower ends of the door, close to the hinges. The leak was about one liter and the door panel sound insulation soaked with water. After door panel was removed, the leak location was identified at both ends of the lower door gasket. The outside part of the U-shaped gasket was filled with water, and eventually water was spilled on the floor. The leak can g
