Having problems with your Fisher and Paykel Dishwashers ?

Hi, I have a 3 year old Nemo F&P dishwasher which turns itself on and off for about 3 seconds each on/off continually.Eventually it does get enough water to wash but never goes into the wash cycle properly, ie the water just sits at the bottom. We dont think it's water pressure and it was working fine until recently.Could it be an electrical problem with the signal to fill properly not getting through? Thanks

\015\012\015\012Thanks for using FixYa. If the cycle doesn't\015\012complete, then the first thing that should be checked is the Timer and then the\015\012heating element. Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the\015\012dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in\015\012one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault.\015\012Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it. Many\015\012dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle\015\012calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with\015\012water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens\015\012next depends, as follows: On some units, the pause is timed and the unit\015\012continues after the allotted time. On others, the cycle can't continue until\015\012the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher\015\012and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating\015\012element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never\015\012continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle\015\012problem" is fixed too. Please do accept the solution if\015\012the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

I have a Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III that is 8 years old and recently stopped cleaning top rack dishes. I remember finding a mylar like piece in the bottom of the tub and threw it away thinking it came off of something we washed (I know, bad thinking.) The mylar piece measured roughly 3-4inx2in and was folded in half. Anyways....the upper arm does not spin and the detergent doesnt get fully dispensed so dishes dont get fully cleaned. I am guessing not enough water pressure to upper arm. Wou

Previous wash cycle worked perfectly. Next morning , dished not washed. Water pressure is insufficient to spray. Checked sprayers and clean. Removed bottom sprayer arm and tested. Water flows barely. Water fills but pressure insufficient to spray. Actually 'bursts' slightly on shutoff. All other functions work perfectly.

Hi, I have an LG LDS4821 dishwasher and it appears to stop working properly. The dishes don't seem to be cleaned at all. It seems like the spray arms are not spraying the dishes as the dishes are still dry/dirty after a normal wash cycle. I did notice that the detergent was used during the wash, and a trail of white residue was at the bottom of the tub. I can hear water pumping into the dishwasher, but when I opened it during a wash cycle, there was a puddle of water at the bottom of the

I have an shx65905uc bosch dishwasher that runs and works except for that there is not enough water pressure to rotate the top wand or operate the top sprinkler. The bottom wand does have water and turn and does the top but it is not enough to turn it. If i remove the bottom wand and plug it off then the top will work properly. I have cleaned all screens and removed the plate to access the pump and all seems fine. Any Thoughts

I have a frigidaire dishwasher - model number PLDB998AC1. There are two spray arms in this dishwasher - lower and upper. The lower works fine but the upper spray arms are not spinning. There is what I think adequate water pressure coming in from the top but no movement on the upper spray arm. Here is what I know: 1) The water pressure and spray arms alternate between top and bottom. 2) The upper spray arm moves freely when I push it gently. 3) I have removed the pump and cleaned out an

I have a De Dietrich DV640JE1 built in 45cm Dishwasher, working fine for over 3 years. After replacing the connection under the sink to fix a leak it has stopped working. But I dont think this is related. I run a cycle and it fills water in the bottom of the machine, it drains it out in the end but the 2 arms are not rotating and no water comes out. I checked the arms and they are not blocked. A faint clunking sound can be heard at some part of the cycle. I did also run a cycle with the dr

My Bosch Classixx is not filling with water and no sound of the pump trying to work either. I fiddled around with it as it was not cleaning bowls properly on the bottom shelf - plates and cutlery were fine! Think I might have disturbed the round dome thing - is this the "float switch"? There is also about an inch in the bottom of the filter area which I have cleaned out of gunk but still with water there. Any ideas please!

Follow-up I've removed the lower arm, I'll spend some time and see whether I can get the pobem sorted out. My wife noticed the the detergent was smeared all over the door and repeated tries didn't get it out. Therefore, the water is not spraying. I can confirm the water is filling on the bottom and draining. The heater is working well. I am thinking there is no pressure to send the water through the tubing to the upper and lower arms. The motor is hot to touch (118 degrees with my temp probe). I

It appears that water is not running through the dishwasher or that the sprayers are not working correctly. There doesn't appear to be a clog. However, I did find a round rubber "washer" (I think that is what they are called) laying in the bottom of the dishwasher - where does this part go. It was working fine until this wash. The heating element works fine but like I said it appears that something may be wrong with the spray tower. Please advise Model number of Hotpoint: HDA3420Z01BB T

The dishes in my dishwasher are not getting clean, particularly on the upper rack. It seems to be because the upper water arms are not spinning during the wash cycle. The bottom spin arm is working fine. I have cleaned out both upper arms as best as I could without removing them (above and attached below to the upper rack), as it does not appear that these arms are easily detachable. I am thinking maybe water is not making it up the line to the upper arms? I also have a lot of dirt in the b

Ultra Wash Hi, When I got up this morning, I noticed the dishes were still dirty and dry??  The soap dispenser had popped open but that was about it.  I had some work done on it because it wasn't cleaning the dishes properly about a year ago and they replaced the motor.  While cleaning the kitchen last night, I heard it come on, but now that I think about it, I never actually heard the water start sloshing around. It seems the pump has stopped working, there is a 2-3 litre amount of water in the bottom of the dishwasher. My wife put a jar in the dishwasher with a label on it. The label was washed off. Towards end of dishwashing cycle error code comes up and consitently beeps, can not turn off by machine buttons or reset. We have to reset by power plug. Water is left in bottom of macine, dishwashing powder is left on most things. Rinse button then works, it then drains the machine no problem. So I dont think it is the pump.
