My dishwasher started making a whirring sound around 20 minutes into its cycle. I took off the drain pipe to check for obstructions, however it was clear. I started the cycle from the start again, and it started the whirring sound from the start of the cycle. There was a small amount of water that drained into the bucket where I had placed the drain hose, however there was not much water in the machine to start with (I checked when it started whirring the first time and there was no water in the

Hi.

\015\012A blocked pump in absence of water won't be noisy from start. Check that\015\012 the whirring sound is not given by the spray arms. Test without baskets\015\012 and check the spray arms assembly.
\015\012
\015\012Check the setting and height of the drain hose. If setting is incorrect \015\012you get water back from drain hose, and drain pump can start from \015\012beginning of the cycle.
\015\012
\015\012A broken pump can make noise. Blockage is removed accessing the pump \015\012located at the base of the washer, and disconnecting hose attached to \015\012pump. The job must be done with power not connected.
\015\012A defective pump makes humming noise rather than whirring, and the noise\015\012 will only start when draining. For such reasons check first the spray \015\012arms.

This problem is intermitten. Kenmore 665 16765690. starting the dishwasher, I hear a motor running. I think it is trying to empty water, however there isn't any water. I will turn the time rotor around to the start again. Sometimes, when I do this the motor running sound has stopped and I hear gurgling sound of water entering. Once this happens, the cycle is good and does well. However, there are times, rotation the timer back to the beginning may take several times, up to about 20 times.

My G832SC is not draining at the end of the cycle. It runs the entire cycle, and the dishes appear to be clean. The soap dispenser has opened and the dishes are rinsed. However, the dry cycle doesn't run because the machine doesn't drain at the end. The intake/drain light is flashing. If I reset the machine and start a new cycle, it will perform an initial drain and the water level does go down. We checked the tri-filter and the valve pump thing, rinsed both. Our moffat quiet 2 dishwasher has recently developed the problem that the dishes are not cleaned properly. It does drain water. We've opened the drain cover to check that. There does not seem to be a problem there. We've also started hearing a buzzing sound that lasts a minute or so between cycles. (Not between every cycle though) It's random. We rinse our dishes thoroughly before running a cycle. This unit is approx. 5 years old. Any suggestions?
