Having problems with your Fisher DS603W / DS603B / DS603I Dishwasher ?

Hi. Our DS603I dishwasher starts on the Rinse cycle on its own - it beeps, red light flashing and no water entering the tub. It does this even if it is open. Similarly, when we try to turn it on to do a normal or heavy cycle, it starts (making quiet a loud noise) and then goes to the Rinse cycle, beeping, red light flashing, no water going into the tub. The pump wheel is turning. We can't find any blockages in the tubes. We have power-cycled it many times. Please help!

\015\012sounds to me as though you have a main controller or indeed some sensor has failed, with this symptom is it a bit hard to exactly pin it down.. The best thing to do if you wish to DIY, is obtain a service and repair manual, and work through the troubleshooting steps to isolate your issue with a view to repair, also the SM has parts numbers too.\015\012
\015\012The below may NOT apply to you... however it has helped many many times...so if you think it is worth a try... give it a go.. nothing to loose?\015\012
\015\012so your dishwasher won't do anything... it justs sits there and "Hums" you can't make it respond to any controls, and the ONLY way to Stop it. is to unplug the unit, replugging back in it simply "Hums" again and will do nothing.
Now this happens because, the STOP Button, is pressed and the "Door Opened", during the Wash Cycle. This should NOT be done. You should NEVER TURN IT OFF MID-CYCLE. you should instead, Simply, pull on the handle, to Open the door, the system will take care of everything, after, you close it,and pick up where it left off. The turning OFF, makes the machine "Think" that a New Cycle, is going to be done, before the old one is finished, and resets itself to do it all again. But it still has water, that's not meant to be there so it must dump it out.
Now, the FIX. Take the Dishwasher, out, and tip over on it's side, tip to about a 45' angle. Water will come out from underneath, this is from a small "Overflow" reservoir. this reservoir has an "Anti-Flood" switch. The removing of this water will "Reset" this Switch, and allow the dishwasher to work again.
So what happens, is this, when the STOP button is pressed Mid-Cycle, the machine must "Dump" whatever water is still in the machine, into the "Overflow Reservoir". This water then causes the Anti-flood switch to jam, and this stops the machine, until it is reset,by the above method.
Hi.

It is usually a defective door latch.

Try first disconnecting power for two minutes, and run a diagnostic cycle.

To enter Diagnostic Mode do the following:

Switch off the appliance from control panel.
Press and hold down "wash temperature" then press power button. The machine will beep twice.
Use the spin speed up or the spin speed down buttons to check diagnostic.

As\015\012 said, the problem is often the door lock. The door latch is checked by \015\012the timer shortly after starting. If the door lock switch is defective \015\012or does not engage you get this problem. The door latch can be tested \015\012reading volts at latch switch contacts while operating the lock, or by \015\012jumping the lock switch. Tests that require power on must be done by \015\012trained personal.
An alternative way to test the door latch is \015\012removing the part and reading impedance (Ohms) at latck contacts while \015\012operating the latch. This test is done without power.

If the door\015\012 lock is OK, then the float switch may be responsible. The role of the \015\012float switch is detecting the water level. If this part is defective, it\015\012 may wrongly detect overfill, stopping cycle at start. The float switch \015\012can be tested jumping its contacts or reading impedance at contacts \015\012while operating the arm.

If the machines fills completely, then the problem can be a faulty diverter valve or impeller pump.

Here a website that can help you.

Regards.

Ginko.

Hello, I have a problem with our Miele G646SC Plus dishwasher. It starts its cycle OK, draining out any residual water, taking in fresh water and doing the initial rinse. After about 5 minutes it then stops with the "inlet/drain" red light flashing. The detergent is still in the holder and the water is still cold. The filter at the bottom of the compartment is clean, the drain pump spins freely. I've also checked for any leaks in the bottom of the machine that would trip the styrofoam/microsw

We've got an Meile Incognito dishwasher, model G 843 SCVi plus. It purges at the begining of the cycle and then seems to fill with water, but then the red Intake/Drain light starts to flash and the cycle goes no further. My G832SC is not draining at the end of the cycle. It runs the entire cycle, and the dishes appear to be clean. The soap dispenser has opened and the dishes are rinsed. However, the dry cycle doesn't run because the machine doesn't drain at the end. The intake/drain light is flashing. If I reset the machine and start a new cycle, it will perform an initial drain and the water level does go down. We checked the tri-filter and the valve pump thing, rinsed both. Checked the hose under the sink. We
