Dishwasher leak I have a General Electric Potscrubber Mobile Maid dishwasher (model GSC720?) that hasn't been used in some time, but appears to still work OK. It has a leak from the left hand vent opening in the bottom of the door when operating. The seal around the door appears intact and doesn't leak. Can you suggest a probable cause, and remedy? Thanks, Bob.

With dishwasher empty and disconnected, find the screws around the area of the "vent",you may need to open it from the bottom. There will be a hose that has either ruptured or just needs the clamp tightened with a screw driver. I think that the hose ... Dishwashers

Door leak I have a small leak between the bottom of the dishwasher door the lower service panel on the dishwashere. My Hotpoint diswasher suddenly stopped working last night. It seems like it has no power to it, as the motor or pump does not seem to come on at all. Obviously when I get home from work, I will check the obvious first - making sure it has power to it, connections are secure etc. (I had a wire break before) If it does have power, I would assume checking the door switch and timer is next. Any suggestions, and any suggestions for checking the door switch and timer??

Sounds like your on the right track. I would use an ohmeter to check the resistance of the door switch by placing the meter probes on each side of the switch. Test while opened and closed position. Same with timer ... Hotpoint Dishwashers

Dishwasher leaking We bought our dishwasher in Sep/07, it was fine for a year, then started leaking out the bottom of the door on the left. We had the seal on the door replaced (didn't work) and then the door gasket replaced. That worked for less than a year, now it is leaking again in the same place. What could be going on? Have already put $400.00 repairs into this machine and am reluctant to put more money in to have it break again the same way. What do you suggest?

This sounds like a hinge problem to start with.\015\012\015\012Test the seal by dragging a strip of paper through it with door closed. My Magic Chef Dishwasher, Model DU2JV, leaks badly from the lower edge of the door. The gasket, which runs along the top and sides of the machine to seal the door at those points, seems intact. Please advise since I cannot use the machine as it is.

I have a Hotpoint Super Plus dishwasher 7820. It worked well for a long time. Towards the end of the cycle it leaks a lot of water from the underside of the door, so it seems. I have fitted a new door seal. No success. What may be the cause?

EDW5500DSS wont completely drain water Okay so now that my dishwasher runs, when it finishes a cycle it has a nice puddle of water at the bottom that never drains completely out. I am assuming its a relay or something because I looked for a floating switch (did not find), I can hear a pump sound as if it wants to pump the remaining water out, but, it doesn't. I really want to solve this problem soon so I can order the new door seal and needed part together. Checked the line out and of course i
