Hi - my Viking dishwasher has developed a problem where the pump runs continuously, whether the power switch is ON or OFF. After the power is turned ON, the troubleshooting guide indicates that there is too much water in the dishwasher. (One of the pot symbols on the display flashes continuously to show this indication.) I am unable to switch between programs, e.g., from quick rinse to pots & pans. I cleaned all the filters to no avail. I had to secure the circuit breaker in order to turn t

The problem is that the switch that detects an over-fill is activated all the time and the pump continues to try and empty an already empty dishwasher even when the main switch is turned off, the only way to stop this is to turn it off at the power point I have had some sucess deactivating this switch by tilting the dishwasher forwards however because of the angle it sometimes overflows when filling. I have a bosch dishwasher SHE43C06UC22 (non-LED version). It's stuck in the drain cycle and continues to run even when opening the door (it should stop, but it doesn't). As a test, I poured a large glass of water in the bottom of the dishwasher and it drained it into the sink as it should, but it continues to run in the drain mode with no water in it. I've heard I either have a float stuck or an emergency drain switch or leak somewhere causing the dishwasher to continue in the drain mode. Ho

Dishwasher confused Dishwasher was switched off just after cycle commenced (tablet had been released). On restarting dishwasher, it wouldn't take in water and has just been going through the motions of the cycle without anything happening. Even when the power button on the machine is switched off or the door is opened, the motor continues to run but without water. Water is definitely switched on under sink. I think the computer is confused - can you please help?

I suspect this is nothing to do with switching off during the cycle.take the bottom plate off and check if there is water leaked into the bottom pan. alternatively, if you can, tilt the machine back to 45deg and see if water runs out.most ... Dishwashers

I have an Asko D3230 which has activated what is probably the overfilling protection and the pump continues to run. The overfill activated because we had to pull out the machine to get to something and when putting back in there was a kink in the hose. Then we ran a cycle and the water wouldn't drain out. There is now no kink and we have removed all the water we can find. It is now completely empty but the pump continues to run even when the dishwasher is switched off, e.g. the off switch an

Hi, ^The GE dishwasher (PDW788000SS) will not fill in either "rinse only" or "normal wash" modes. The control panel lights up with all functions. After selecting rinse only or normal wash and pressing/holding the start/reset button down for several seconds to reset the unit the drain pump comes on for approx 90 seconds as advertised. Checked the float switch and there is no continuity in any position of the little switch arm and the switch arm has no spring on it. Seems like this is a faile

Dishwasher - Bosche - SHV43A03GB - When the main power switch is ON, even with the door open the pump/motor continues to run (ie. Stop-cycle does not operate). However, the wash-program itself does not run, even with the door closed (ie. No water entering the dishwasher, even though water supply is on and feed lines are clear - not kinked). It is like the program is 'stuck' and I cannot seem to get it to reset.
