I have a Bosch SMU2046UC/14 dishwasher that makes some noise but will not start the wash cycle. I found that the noise was from the timer motor by removing the front of the door. The timer continues to run and but only advances until half way through the wash cycle where it stops permanently. Is this a problem with the timer or could something else be causing this problem.
HI. The timer motor mechanism regulates the length of time power is to be routed to each component. If the timer motor does not advance properly, it can result in a wide range of problems. Common symptoms will usually include sticking in a cycle(fail ... Bosch 24 in. SMU40 Built-in Dishwasher
I HAVE A KITCHEN AID DISHWASHER model number KUDM25SHBL1. AND IT WONT DRAIN ALL THE WATER OUT AT THE END OF THE CYCLE. WHTA COULD BE THE PROBLEM?
After starting wash cycle the rotary dial advances to what appears to be the second phase and stops at about 1 oclock position. I replaced the timer/switch, same problem. Could I have a water temp sensing problem due to a poorly adhered sensor? I thought this may be the issue as the sensor at the water feed near the soap dispenser was loose on inspection. Model Bosch SHU4002UC/U06 Under counter Dishwasher
Check the thermostat sensor. If the sensor is faulty the amchine will not detect that the right temperature is reached and the cycle will not advance. The thermostat will read low ohms (about 1K) using a multimeter at Rx1 at ro ... Dishwashers
I have a whirlpool dishwasher type 280-2 and the detergent door will not open automatically anymore. The compartment is thoroughly cleaned and wont even open if its empty so gook or over filling is not the problem. I believe I probably knocked off some part that makes it open at the proper time. If someone could explain how the process works and/or submits a picture of the parts, I could perhaps deduce what is missing. Thank you in advance as this is driving me nuts!
We have a 12 year old kitchen aid diswasher model kudpo1ilbs2. It is not cleaning the dishes. Everything is loaded correctly and the proper cycle and soap is being used. We have had no problems until the last 2 - 3 months when a greasy food film is now appearing on the dishes. Some food is left on but not a great deal. The question is what could be wrong and what kind of cost are we talking? We are trying to make an informed decision as to whether fix or buy new. Thank you in advance
The washing cycle does no proceed automatically however it does so when the dial is manually advanced. What could be the problem and how to sort it?
Sounds like the drive inside the timer switch. There is a timer motor that causes the timer switch to progress through the stages. When you manually progress the timer, it is physically turned to the next position and the switches all work as design ... Dishwashers
Dishwasher stalls I have a Bosch dishwasher model # SHU4006UC/U06. The dial stops after going through one cycle and the dishwasher continues to run that cycle and will not advance unless we manually advance the dial. After advancing the dial the dishwasher will stall until we have manually advanced the dial until reaching the "9 o'clock" position. It will then continue until the dry cycle is complete. Thanks!! GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you

I have a couple of problems. Firstly, the auto programme now shows a cycle time of 199mins but actually takes much longer than that to complete - more like 4 hours. On the quick (!) wash cycle the time is 97 minutes, whereas it should be less than 30 mins. Second problem, the detergent box flap won't stay shut when loading, so I have to put the tablet in loose in the bottom. Could the 2 problems be related?
There is an issue with the machine not heating properly, it could be the control panel or the thermostat, The flap not staying shut is not connected to this. ... Dishwashers
I have a Bosch SHX46A05UC14 dishwasher. The dishwasher is in a new home I just purchased. I tried to run the dishwasher on a normal cycle. However, when I push POWER and NORMAL CYCLE it makes a buzzing noise...and that's it. I opened the dishwasher and on the base of the dishwasher there was a screen that could be removed. I noticed that there was still some anti-freeze fluid in there (because the house was winterized). Could there be a simple solution to this problem?

My Kenmore 16533 dishwasher all of sudden started running really loud on the wash cycle. I stopped the cycle, drained the unit, and looked for something obstructing--found nothing. Started it up, and the problem persists. The dishes do come out clean, however. The dishwasher is 6 yrs old. Is this a problem I could fix, or do I need a repairman? Is it worth the expense of a repairman, or is it time for a new unit?

Several people have posted this problem with the Frigidaire Ultra Quiet 111, but I have seen no solutions. When it is set to wash without extra heat, it cycles normally. But when the extra-heat wash and extra-heat rinse are selected, then it gets stuck first mid-wash at the 7 o'clock position, and if it is manually advanced then it gets stuck again during the rinse cycle just before the 9 o'clock drying position. Both the wash and rinse thermostats have been replaced without solving the problem.

I have a Fisher & Paykel 913T soft touch dishwasher. Excessive foaming when using Rinse Only Cycle in Kitchenaid Dishwasher. I've had this dishwasher only 3 weeks. There is no detergent in the dispenser. Rinse Cycle should be only water; no soap. Rinse Aid should not be dispensing either. What could be the problem? Normal wash cycle leaves residue on glassware. That is why I run the Rinse Only Cycle. I cannot figure out how to advance a cycle without having to go through the entire cycle. I have a kitchenaid dishwasher model kuds24se with a problem. I MUST hit cancel before I hit start. Note that it doesn't matter how long it's been since the last cycle. It could be a few minutes or a day or more. I have to hit start to get a complete wash cycle. If I don't hit cancel, the washer goes through some sort of cycle and stops. It seems like a normal cycle but of course it is not because I don't hear any water and, upon completion, when I open the door there is heat but the soap dispen

Our GE dishwasher (5 yrs old, Model GLD4250L00CS) only fills with water half way when the unit is started. The inlet valve was replaced with a new one, but that did not solve the problem. When started, the dishwasher fill cycle runs for 41 seconds before the wash cycle begins. Repair workers told us we probably need a new ECU (Electronic Computer Unit). My questions are: Is 41 seconds the correct time for the fill cycle for our model? What else could be the reason for the unit not filling pr

Hello, my Hoover D7610 dishwasher has developed a problem, I would appreciate your advice. On starting a wash it appears to be working OK through what I believe to be a rinse cycle but then after about 20 minutes water pours out from the bottom of the door. After the 1st cycle there is no more water leaking from the machine but all

We have a +11 year old Bosch SHU3006/UC/U06 that never leaves the wash cycle. We had to stop it during our last test run at 3 hours.
