Water is not draining from the tub at all - Frigidaire Dishwashers

Answers :

Hello & Welcome to FixYa \015\012
Dishwasher not draining completely problem usually occurs due to clogged/blocked drain hose or the drain pump not working. First try to clean the drain hose and drain pump filter for any clogs, then check drain pump operation. If the problem returns after cleaning then it is the drain pump that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I have a DU8000XX6 series Kenmore dishwasher that won't drain the water properly. There is about a half inch of water in the tub and the float is raised (not sitting on tub bottom). When I lift up the float a little more I can hear the float switch make. I would assume that when the water is high enough the float switch makes and energizes a solenoid valve in the drain to drain the water, but shouldn't it stay open until all the water drains? Dishwasher keeps running I have a Bosche dishwasher and the water keeps running. As long as we run it and don't stop it, the pump will continue to drain about every 3 minutes. The water just keeps running though. If we open it to empty the dishes, the cycle will stop. But the water keeps running, filling the tub, and then overflows, flooding the kitchen and drains through our wood floors to the basement below. Our ASKO seems to have a similar problem. I started the dishwasher, and the water ke

When we do not use the dishwasher for a week or more water seems to back up into the tub. The water has a foul smell to it and can be as much as an inch or so deep. The dishwasher drain hose is attached to an insinkerator disposal. By the way this dishwasher is only a couple of months old and we have had to have it serviced three times. No one has been able to explain the water accumulation and it can not be demonstrated unless the washer sits unused for a while.

Frigidaire 2405 Dishwasher has a direct drain into the floor and is too far from the sink to be able to drain into the sink pipes. Can I add a loop of drain hose from the floor drain up to the counter height, about 30", then back to the floor to mimic the loop that would be created by running to the sink drain? I have been told that these new types of dishwashers require water remaining in the pipes to work properly. Thanks, John

I have a Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher. Model # 665.15685791. All of a sudden it acts as if it is getting too much water.
