Having problems with your Frigidaire Dishwashers ?

Is there any way to get more water or higher pressure to my Frigidaire 300 Series dishwasher? The water in the kitchen has good pressure, but we can't get enough into dishwasher. Chip

Make sure the water supply valve to the dishwasher is fully open. There may be a internal main valve trouble restricting the water flow. Disassemtle to fix.
\012
\012Dishwashers are typically filled by one of two methods: (1) time and (2) water level. Time (the solenoid valve is opened for a certain amount of time to let water in) is the most common because it is the cheapest method. Better washers sense the level of the water and fill until the sensor is satisfied (like in your cloths washer)
\012
\012Whats happens in a time controlled machine if you have good flow? The extra water goes down the drain, a wasteful, expensive process.
\012
\012I suggest you make sure the dishwasher main valve is fully open (close the valve about 1/8th of a turn after fully open). If you still have a problem, check the strainer on the solenoid input valve. If it is there it may be clogged. Looks like the same washer with strainer you would typically fine in a clothing washer fill. Be prepared to replace it anyway. You may have a different connection arrangement.
\012
\012Next step would be to check the solenoid valve to see it is fully opening.
\012
\012If yours is a time fill, the timer MIGHT be of some concern but I doubt it. I would lean more toward the things I mentioned above.
\012
\012If yours is a water level sensor type, you should check the water level sensor for proper operation. Typically, there will be a float of some kind in the bottom of the machine.
\012
\012I hope this gives you food for thought. Good luck on your project and thanks for visiting FixYa.com

My Kitchen Aid KUDS01DJSS0 seems to have water going to the upper spray arm (I see water coming out of the unit just beneath the upper rack), but the pressure doesn't seem to be high enough to clean the upper rack. No evidence that water is coming out of the spray arm on the very top. Lower rack dishes seem to clean OK. I have already removed the whole upper spray arm assembly and inspected the flapper valves that the middle sprayer goes into. I suspect that it's not making good enough contac

Hi. I have a Briggs & Stratton 2800PSI gas pressure washer. I can get it to start, but after about 5 min, then it quits. I have cleaned the carb, change oil, changed plug, new gas, cleaned/checked air filter. Nothing will keep it running. Wondering if it may be not enough water pressure, but would that cause it to stop like that? When it runs, it does a good job, but it stops just as you get going. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!

Whirlpool dishwasher doesn't seem to fill with enough water despite good water pressure. We have a Sears Ultra Wash III dishwasher, model 665.1677993, bought in October, 1995. It is not filling with enough water to get the dishes clean. I took the water valve out and looked at it and it seems okay. It doesn't look like the valve is opening all the way - just my guess. A small stream of water comes out with good pressure, but it is a small stream. I can't find any screens or filters in the water line coming in. The fill cycle lasts only about a minute. Is that adequate? Steve

There should be another letter after the p in your model number. If it's just a B then there are no parts available for that model. Typically a dishwasher will fill for 90 seconds or more. One minute or less sounds like you have a control board is ... Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher

It's like it's not able to fill up enough to wash the dishes.

I just bought a used Kenmore standalone dishwasher and ran it for the first time. The dishes on the top did not get clean and the soap did not come out of the closed soup dish. at one point I took a shower and was wondering if that might have influenced the water pressure enough to cause the problem. Is the soap supposed to open during the wash and could the poor water pressure prevent the top shelf from getting properly washed?
