We have had the dishwasher for about 1 year. It has worked fine up until a month or so ago. I use liquid detergent and after I wash a load of dishes, the liquid soap is all over the botton of the dishwasher, around the dispenser door and all over the dishes loaded above the soap door. Do you have any ideas what could be causing this? Thank you.

I bought this dishwasher 5 years ago and was kept in the box until last month. I installed it, turned on the water and no water is being pumped into the unit from the water release valve in the dishwasher. I then checked all the cycles and everything works except for the pump. Then I checked to see if any power/volts was going to the pump and there is none. Could it be a wiring problem or could it be the circuit board?? please help. thanks

You will have to check all the connections visually. Since you know how to use a meter, see where the current stops. See if there is current coming from the control board to the pump. the water inlet solenoid valve should "free flow" water into the m ... GE 24 in. Profile PDW7800 Built-in Dishwasher

My daughter accidentally turned on our GE GLDA690 dishwasher. I can't seem to cancel it out without actually starting the cycle. I opened the door before the cycle started but now it is sitting there beeping. The obvious thing is to load it with dishes and run it. But it is just the two of us and we don't really have a load full. Owner's manual is no help. Even turning off the circuit breaker will not stop this infernal beeping. How do I cancel it? Why isn't there a cancel button?

Hello, I would appreciate if you have any suggestions regarding my GE dishwasher. It turns on and seems to want to work but the rinse cycle does not produce any water, it makes noises like the water is coming out and rinsing but when I open the dishwasher the dishes are not wet. I've checked the water valve, turned the control panel off and on, I'm wondering if it is just clogged, any suggestions? Thank you.

Foggy Glasses Glasses are very foggy after a wash cycle. There seems to be a heavy film on them. It can be scrubbed off with liquid soap and a brush. This started suddenly after I washed a baking pan in the dishwasher. The pan was very used and scratched before I loaded it in the dishwasher. After the wash, it was very rusty and there was rust on other dishes in the dishwasher. Could this have created some problem with the dishwasher, which is now affecting it's ability to wash? A GE triton dishwasher causes hammer noise when stops filling. The sink faucet works fine as do all the other faucets in the house. I cleaned all of the traps in the dishwasher. Because the sink works, I don't think it is a sink valve problem. I turned off the water to the house and drained the system, the air chambers should be good. Is there some component of the dishwasher that could be causing the noise? Would cleaning the pump help? If so, how would I do that?

The cause of the hammering noise, (slamming) is due to the water inlet valve on the Dishwasher (DW) shutting off abrutly once the DW reaches the proper amount of water.\015\012\015\012If this is an older DW, you might want to replace the ... GE Dishwashers

Dishwasher I have a whirlpool dishwasher that does not appear to be getting hot water. The washer water is cold initially and only seems to get warm once the heater in the base of the machine heats it. The hot water supply line does not get hot so I presume no water is being supplied. Is the water supposed to be hot at the start. If yes could this be caused be a faulty inlet valve and if so how can I check. The dishes are dirty especially on the top rack. Thanks for your help. Hello, I have a Kitchen Aid dishwasher, model KUDS30IVWH3. The dishes have not been getting as clean lately, the bottom is decent but the top rack is not getting very clean. Also, when I open the door after the cycle is done, there's a bunch of detergent at the bottom of the door and on the floor of the dishwasher, like it isn't getting sprayed all over or something. Don't know if I have to check the water intake valve or if maybe the sprayers could be partially clogged.

I have a three-year-old Sears Kenmore Elite dishwasher. I find that despite the fact that we scrape and rinse our dishes before loading the machine, after each three months of use (two loads a day) or so, I have to take the machine apart (spray tower, racks, bottom impeller, bottom screen housing, food grinder cover) and clean-out the food grinder area, for it fills-up with sludge. The sludge restricts the water flow and there isn't enough flow to turn the impellers via that steering jets.
