Having problems with your Frigidaire FGHD2433KF Builtin Dishwasher ?

Should knives/forks/spoons be loaded with blades, tines, bowls down or up in dishwasher? When ready to load knives/forks/spoons in the dishwasher, should you load the utensils with the handles at the top, or should the handles be at the bottom with the blades of knives, tines of forks, and eating portions of spoons be placed face down in the dishwasher? Simply put, should the handles of the utensils be placed up or or down when you load them in the dishwasher?

Answers :

I find they come cleaner with the handles down, but if you have kids they come clean enough and are safer loaded with handles up, with spoons though, always load handles down so they can get the clean water to the whole spoon.
I always put the handles down in hope of the spray hitting the business end better.

I'm sure there are arguments for handle up too, but I put the handles down.

I have the same issue to the point where pans (that have been in a dishwasher for years) now are permanently "white filmed" on handles, all my cooking utensils are the same way, and my glasses are etched. I really dislike this dishwasher. I have not changed powder and am not adding the rinse aid (although I have tried to use it to help). The washer has never done a good job of cleaning dishes. I want to know if there is a recall.

Once I clean it, it comes back. The dishwasher goes on once a day fully loaded. hope you can help me because its gross. Thank You !

The first problem I believe you have is your hot water entering the unit is NOT hot enough. Turn up the temperature setting on your hot water heater. The water in your pipes should come out around 120 degrees Fahrenheit. That should be hot enough ... Gaggenau GI966-760 Built-in Dishwasher

Is our dishwasher no good? We have hard H20 and practically rinse clean our dishes, untensils & glasses before we load it. We never use it for pots & pans. There's a sort of soap scum on the clear glasses. The utensils are spotty & streaky. The stuff is not clean looking. It's a 10 yr. old Maytag.

Dishwasher Normally, after the dishwasher cleans the load, it displays green light next to clean. Once the door is opened, the light goes off an dishwasher is ready for next load. But from few days, after opening the dishwasher door, the clean light does not go off, it remains lit. Dishwasher doe snot reset for next cycle. So, I have to go in the basement and trip the main power to dishwasher. That resets the dishwasher. This needs to be done before each cycle. Not sure how to resolve the issue.

Make sure that you do not open the door during the wash cycle. Wait until all the cycles \015\012are complete before opening the door. Especially don't open the door \015\012during the drying cycle. ... Dishwashers

I have a maytag mdb6650 aww dishwasher. The dishwasher just stopped. The light on the control panel is on. If I push the buttons to try a different cycle, the light over light wash remains lit, so the buttons don't seem to respond. I was wondering if it is the control assembly, or if the door switch is not working. The handle cracked a while ago, but if the dishwasher still worked even though the handle had cracked in half.

This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned and I have owned a dishwasher for the past 50 years. The loading is absolutely the worst. Washing? Lousy. I really can not say a good thing about it. The last two dishwashers I owned were Kitchen-aids. They lasted 20 years each and the loading was wonderful. The rinse hold was wonderful. Cleaning was wonderful. This Bosch is absolutely awful.

Re: Thermador Dishwasher DWHD64E I love the dishwasher as it performs well and quietly. My problem is with the flip tines in the bottom rack. It was a great idea that allows for different configurations when loading dishes BUT the tines do not stay in place. I will load plates, for example, and as I add a plate in the established configuration, the tines move collapsing the entire row of plates. The repositioning notch does not hold up with the weight of the dishes. I prefer the old station

I have a Fisher and Paykel Nautilus DW920 dishwasher. However, the door to the detergent dispenser does not open reliably every load -- usually I have to open the dishwasher door about 20 minutes into the load and open the soap dispenser myself. The catch on the dispenser will have released, but the dispenser door will not have sprung open. I am not sure exactly what the problem is -- the soap dispenser door simply seems a bit stiff in its holster. Given a little nudge, it springs open fine. I h

We have had the dishwasher for about 1 year. It has worked fine up until a month or so ago. I use liquid detergent and after I wash a load of dishes, the liquid soap is all over the botton of the dishwasher, around the dispenser door and all over the dishes loaded above the soap door. Do you have any ideas what could be causing this? Thank you.

The dishwasher only makes the loud rumbling noise during the initial wash cycle, not during the cycle when it is pumping water out of the dishwasher and into the drain. I found some dental floss wrapped around the blade shaft when I cleaned the area out. The noise is now less but it is still there. I am wondering if the blade got twisted or the shaft got bent.

Foggy Glasses Glasses are very foggy after a wash cycle. There seems to be a heavy film on them. It can be scrubbed off with liquid soap and a brush. This started suddenly after I washed a baking pan in the dishwasher. The pan was very used and scratched before I loaded it in the dishwasher. After the wash, it was very rusty and there was rust on other dishes in the dishwasher. Could this have created some problem with the dishwasher, which is now affecting it's ability to wash? I have a 7 year old Kenmore 24" (mod. 16532201) built-in dishwasher. For the past several months now I have noticed a dark almost greasy film covering the inside of the dishwasher after doing a load of dishes.
