Having problems with your Frigidaire PLD4555RFC Dishwasher ?

Upper and lower arms rotate normally. 2nd level (center) arm doesn't rotate at all. Dismantled, checked and cleaned arm. No help. No obstructions in water channel.

Answers :

No the parts does not wear out in one year.but in some cases it has been noticed with this problem.so the part needs to be replaced.Remove the washarm and check the wash arm support. there is a small white palstic piece on the top of the housing which serves as the lower bearing surface and water seal for when the washarm is turning. It often works itself loose and slides up and closes off the water to the lower washarm. If that is the case, it would have to either be rescured properly or you will have to replace the center washarm housing.\015\012check out.keep updated.thanks.
If its like whirlpool dishwashers and the center arm is supported by the upper basket and comes out with the basket and when pushed back in it fits onto the water conduit pipe at the back of the tub, after time the parts wear and when water pressure is applies it escapes around the water conduits where they touch when drawer is pushed in,remedy:replace water conduits and fittings

Figidare dishwasher Upper arm not rotating, no water coming from top hole to fill upper arm.Lower arm rotates shoot water up cleaned filter screens. Check ball seems ok by pump, is there a location it (ck ball) should be? My upper arm is not rotating, things are coming out crusty, and it's definitely not getting water to the upper arm. My check ball seems to be plugging the tube the water goes up in.

It seems other posts were correct - The upper arm doesn't spin all the time. Once I learned that, and let the dishwasher cycle through, I saw that the upper arm does spin. So, there wasn't a problem with the upper arm afterall. That doesn't solve ... Dishwashers

Recently there's been a white coating on dishes. Has to be scrubbed off manually or soaked in a vinegar/water solution. I flushed out the rotating arms to be sure water flows thru & it does. Checked bottom filter & basket...both clean. Twice used "finish" cleaner for dishwashers in the scrub cycle as directed. Turned off during drying cycle and now there is water across the bottom of the dishwasher. Next? Thanks for any help. Rosemary

I have a Whirlpool GU2500XTPQ3 dishwasher that is about 5 years old. The dishes in the top basket do not get clean. I checked the water tube that feeds the upper spray arm and the top spray and there aren't any obstructions. Our water pressure and temperature are suitable. Could the pump be plugged or otherwise lose its ability to circulate enough water to adequately feed the upper sprayers? How can I check on that?

We are getting a grit on the dishes on the top rack. We have done many things to solve the problem. Running tang crystles, runing CLR through it, taking it apart to check for blockages, checking the impeller on the pump, blowing comprssed air through it, scrubbing the inside many times. The funny thing is it only happens about every third wash cycle or so. The upper spray arm is free with no obstruction. The dishes on the bottom rack are clean. We use Electosol and jet dry. I have a 13 year old Siemens SE64630GB. It isn't cleaning items in the upper basket and I believe it's due to lack of water pressure in the upper spray arm leading to little or no rotation of the arm. Have cleaned out the drainage pump and removed and cleaned both the water feed pipe to the upper arm (a lot of gunk in there) and the spray arm itself (which also had blocked nozzles) - no apparent blockages now.
