GE Profile GSD4024Z02BB Dishwasher doesn't clean properly

\015 This Quiet Power II is about 10 years old and has been lightly used. It has been working great until last week. Now it is not cleaning properly - cups and mugs have tea and coffee stains on them after the wash. It sounds as if it is going through the cycles ok. I have opened the door at various stages and the water is hot (enough steam comes out to fog my glasses), there is water dripping from everywhere, you can hear the water swishing around inside. It seems to be working but the dishes are not properly cleaned. Our procedure has not changed. We run the hot tap before starting, use pot scrubber and high temp wash cycles. Use Costco / Kirkland liquid gel which has chlorine.Any ideas what is wrong?many thanks!\015

Replace the washer pump for the sprayers, they loose pressure and u get this problem, the pump is very cheap and easy to replace, just pull the washer out and it is right there, go here for parts.

There are several possible reasons why your dishwasher started cleaning poorly.

To start Check that there is no dirt accumulating on the drain hose and on the lower surface of the appliance.

Check the upper and lower spray arms orifices, if they are clogged, the machine won't clean properly.

If that is not the problem, then it may be because a part is malfunctioning or blocked.

A common cause is a clogged inlet valve. If the inlet valve is clogged , water won't get into the machine with sufficient pressure to clean the dishes properly.

A faulty impeller pump. The impeller pump/motor may be clogged or defective and does not give enough pressure.

Sometimes a bad thermostat can also cause the dishwasher closing hot inlet too early , and not reaching adequate temperatures.

Here a general diagram for dishwashers: Built in
