Dish washer does not drain after the cycle is complete. The last few months when the dishwasher is done their would be a small amount of water left in the bottom. It didnt create any problems but would smell after a few days. So we would just run the drain cycle and it would empty. Well i got home to and the wife said the it was really full. The water was dirty and when you run the drain cycle it didnt drain. She said the dishes were clean. So i cleaned the vent, and filled the sink with

Water pressure? I read somewhere that low pressure of the incoming water will make it so that the items on the top drawer will not be as clean. I don't see how this can be the case, as I thought that the way the washer worked was that the washer filled (at whatever speed) and then the machine itself pumped the water through the system at the appropriate pressure. Please clarify.
Mom...not true. The water fills the machine which then uses its own pump to spray the dishes with the water/detergent. If your dishes are not getting clean, use the recommended amount of detergent. Hard water will require a spot treatment like Jet ... KitchenAid KUDR01TJ Dishwasher

The pump doesn't seem to put out enough water pressure to turn the various revolving heads/nozzles in the washer - all washing heads are operable (ie unblocked) while the S shaped nozzle at the base and the small round nozzle at the top/ceiling of the cabinet do revolve slightly or slowly - but the two main nozzles spout water but not enough to revolve Is this a defective pump or a partially blocked pump ? - or something else - I have checked everything else and they appear to be functioning

I have a Maytag Dishwasher MDB4100aww that is not cleaning dishes effectively. There are small particles of food left on the dishes and some of the tougher food items to clean are staying on the dishes. The sound of water swishingspraying within the dishwasher seems to be quieter than when originally purchased (about 8 years passed). I had a local repair man take apart some of the internal pieces and clean them but it has not helped. Any suggestions?

We have a Sears Ultra Wash III dishwasher, model 665.1677993, bought in October, 1995. It is not filling with enough water to get the dishes clean. I took the water valve out and looked at it and it seems okay. It doesn't look like the valve is opening all the way - just my guess. A small stream of water comes out with good pressure, but it is a small stream. I can't find any screens or filters in the water line coming in. The fill cycle lasts only about a minute. Is that adequate? Steve
There should be another letter after the p in your model number. If it's just a B then there are no parts available for that model. Typically a dishwasher will fill for 90 seconds or more. One minute or less sounds like you have a control board is ... Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher
Leaking dishwasher The dishwasher leaks a stream of water at the base -bottom left corner whenever it goes into the final rinse cycle. It does not leak when it is in the wash mode. My dishwasher is only 2 years old. My small coffee shop is in an area where we have large quantities of lime. At this point in time the repair people have been out two times and this is not fixed. There appears to be no water being pumped into the dishwasher where it will be heated prior to washing. Also the temp gauge is not working all the time. Hi I have a Neff built in dishwasher s5453X1GB/70 about 4 years old. Never had a problem before. Came downstairs last night to find the kitchen floor flooded. Water also still in machine. But must have been near end of cycle as plates all clean. I have read other links and opened pump compartment in centre of machine and syringed out all water and cleaned fan. When i switch on machine it is still making odd humming noise (emptying cycle?) I have read about anti -flood valve etc. Any more tip
Miele dishwasher makes grinding noise when turned on, there is a light on front next to inlet/drain. So I poured some boiling water into the dishwasher and then left it turned on and could feel the boiling water coming out of the drain hose so I am assuming it is an inlet problem, as it will drain but will not fill or otherwise work. There are a few small cracks in the outer hose of he inlet hose just below the grey box thing, could that be enough to cause the problem? They are only small so I di

Hi, I have a Kenwood KDW 12ST3A Dishwasher. Doesn't matter which programme you set it going on it will evacuate a small amout of water and then freezes. I can hear a low pitched buzzing noise but nothing else happens. I'm not sure if it allows a small amount of water to enter the machine. Any ideas?
Fills with water, sounds like it starts to pump water then stops, then start again. It attempts to start pumping water 3 or 4 times them turns off leaving the water in the tub. I have read about the water needing to heat up for the cycle to advance. When I check the water that is left in the tub it is warm but not hot. The heating element is not hot either. I did a continuity test on the heating element and it seems to check out ok. I also did a continuity test on the red wire from the heating e

Dishwasher fills with hot water. Float OK - water feed stops when full. Motor humms but no water spray (in all opperating modes). Cancel selection (with cancel button) and close the door. The water drains then the unit shuts off. Water feed OK. Drain Cycle OK. Looks like spray pump hung but do not know. Cannot find a reset button (as with disposal) or way to free hung pump motor. I did see glass pieces in the drain. Possibly a small piece hanging the motor.

Hi my L G dish washer is coming up with E1 . It comes on after about 2 min it takes water into the washer then it hummes for about 30 seconds then comes up with E1 and pumps water back out. I have checked the hoses which don't appear to be leaking -I read somewhere in your answers about this problem that it could be the Water Level in Drum lowering, this means there is a leak on one of the pipes. More likely it is the Circulation Pump, which is responsible for pushing the water to the Spray

I have a Bosch SHU9915UC/U11 dishwasher, installed in 2002. Recently, our hot water heater had to be replaced, and we were without hot water for five days. Air got into the hot water pipes, and dried out all the debri in the lines. When I take a glass or cup out of the dish washer after they are cleaned and heat dried, or a day plus from the cabinet to put cold water, too many small bubles are floating on top the water surface, as a soap-like condition; it clears up shortly. The tech told me it is normal. I think it is not normal because I suspect the rinsing is not totally complete because of the water conservation design. Am I drinking soap-water?

Item: Whirlpool Ultra Dishwasher Age: 3 yrs Problem: Not enough water to effectively wash the dishes. State: When the dishwasher is started, the fill valve opens as normal. Only about 1/2 the amount of water is let in when the pump turns on and the washing cycle begins. Opening the door shows that the water level does not reach the bottom of the float. I noticed water leaking underneath my dishwasher through the floor joists to my basement. It was a small but steady drip through the joists. I turned off the water to the dishwasher and the leak stopped. I looked inside the dishwasher and there is still some standing water inside the dishwasher, but I cannot see anywhere that water is standing under the dishwasher. I am wondering if the leak is at the pump or at the door? But I see no evidence of the seal leaking.
This is probably the line that goes from the water inlet valve on the bottom of the dishwasher up to the valve leading into the dishwasher itself. It is probably a black corrugated rubber line. This is an extremely bad design, but the solution is s ... Frigidaire 24 in. PLD2850 Built-in Dishwasher
