Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
\015\012Just os you know there are 12 models of this dishwasher and you only gave a partial model number. It is missing several digits after the last G. The symptom you describe would be applicable to all 12 models.
\015\012
\015\012There are a few things that can cause this symptom.
\015\0121. Debris in the motor pump impeller (Things like toothpicks or small bones / bone fragments)
\015\0122. The motor pump seal has failed letting water into the motor bearings.
\015\012
\015\012^--- These are the 2 most common reasons.
\015\012
\015\012Take a look under the motor pump assembly for the tell tale signs of water dripping onto the floor under the dishwasher. (stains or a circular soap pattern) If you see a water or a soap stain on the floor the motor pump seal has failed and the only remedy is replacement of the motor pump assembly.

\015\012
\015\012There is a possibility that the impeller is jammed with something but if the unit is 4 or more years old, most likely is the motor pump seal has failed causing subsequent motor bearing failure. It is best to remove the motor pump assembly for any attempt at clearing foreign debris from the pump impeller. Also look for a broken impeller blade during the clearing / cleaning process. If you thnk the motor can be salavaged make sure to lunricate the bearings with a paraffin based oil. We use the "Zoom Spout" Olier

I have a Whirlpool DUL300XTLQ3 Queit Partner III. The cleaning blades stopped moving-started it-waited awhile-opened it-the blades were in the same position. Took the bottom blade+filter cover off. Now, when I opened it while it was supposed to be washing I see just a small amount of water coming from the bottom wash blade, and not even enough to turn the blade very far. After 3 years it just started making a loud noise, I am no expert but it sounds like a fan in a motor. I have only heard it today, but I am betting it will still happen next load too. I didn't change any of the settings, have been running the same way forever. When I did hear this noise I started pushing buttons to see if I could get it to stop, no good, no change. The cycle has completed and everything looks ok, waiting on the dishes to dry. Drainage has never been a problem for me either.

My Maytag MDBH965AWW Legacy Series 300 is making a loud grinding noise. I took off the lower spray arm and other parts below it to see if something was lodged near the chopper blade. What I found was broken plastic pieces from the bottom of the filter/flowplate assembly. I have a Siemens Dishwasher. I'm not sure of the model but it is built in, has concealed controls and was purchased about 6 years ago at Best Buy. It sort of looks like the SL85. When started, it runs for a few minutes and then starts to make a horrible sound. ALmost a grinding sound but may also be like water trying to get through a small opening. The sound does not stop even after turning off the DW and even the power to it. Only turning off the water supply does it stop. Help?

I turned off the water to the dishwasher and the leak stopped. I looked inside the dishwasher and there is still some standing water inside the dishwasher, but I cannot see anywhere that water is standing under the dishwasher. I am wondering if the leak is at the pump or at the door? But I see no evidence of the seal leaking.
