GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you

My SGS55M72AU/65 does not get rid of its drain water, although that wee pump in the bottom is clearly working (which I could see after removing filters and pump cover). There is no blockage near the drain pipe connection, so I infer there is a blockage somewhere inside the dishwasher, in a place I can't get to without further instruction. I've removed most of the drain water and pulled the unit out, so I could lay it on its side and start taking screws out. But I much prefer to have some guidanc

Miele dishwasher makes grinding noise when turned on, there is a light on front next to inlet/drain. Bosch dishwasher SHX46A05UC/40 is making noise when draining. I have cleaned the screen and hose back to the drain and removed all debris. So it seem to be the 'drain pump'. Slow drain. My dishwasher is draining, but not enough to empty the water out after a normal cycle. This is also causing the rinse cycle to use recycled dirty water in the process. Could this be blocking some of the draining process?

A GE triton dishwasher causes hammer noise when stops filling. The sink faucet works fine as do all the other faucets in the house. I cleaned all of the traps in the dishwasher. Because the sink works, I don't think it is a sink valve problem. I turned off the water to the house and drained the system, the air chambers should be good. Is there some component of the dishwasher that could be causing the noise? Would cleaning the pump help? If so, how would I do that?

The cause of the hammering noise, (slamming) is due to the water inlet valve on the Dishwasher (DW) shutting off abrutly once the DW reaches the proper amount of water.\015\012\015\012If this is an older DW, you might want to replace the ... GE Dishwashers

GLD4050 DW won't pump out at any time during wash cycle. Removed lower arm, screen, etc. and washed and cleaned out everything. Removed drain hose and cleaned it out. Reinstalled and ran again. At no time during he cycle does the water pump out. HOWEVER, if I put my hand on the drain pump I can feel and hear the pump running as usual at the right times in the cycle. What else could be preventing the pump out? Thanks!

You could have a plugged pump itself or broken propellers as long as drain and screen are clean which looks like you already took care of that. ... Frigidaire GLD4050RHS Builtin Dishwasher
