Having problems with your GE 24 in. Profile PDW9880JSS Built-in Dishwasher ?

My GE monogram dishwasher won't drain. The (3 different) repairmen who came to my home checked the hoses, replaced the pump and replaced the motor. Nothing worked, and they suggested that the home warranty people replace the unit. The company, however, won't allow me to do this since we don't have a "diagnosable problem". What else can I check?

Answers :

Some models (for example most GE dishwashers) use a drain solenoid to drain water out. Sometimes the solenoid gets stuck, preventing the water from draining out. Try to free up the solenoid. If unsuccessful, you might have to replace the pump assembly

If this model doesn't have a drain solenoid to inspect(uncommon), this will lead to a control issue with the main control board or timer module. replace if found to be defective.

remember, the drain command is initiated by the control.once the command is issued, the pump will carry out the actions of draining the unit. if the control is faulty, it will not issue the command properly.

My Samsung DMT800 series dishwasher has had the main control board replaced under warranty three times since I've had it. The problem: The unit won't activate via the touch buttons until I pull the plug for a second and "re-boot" the device. It then works for a few days or a week and fails again. The last board was replaced two weeks ago and it has failed only once. I'm waiting for it to fail again before I call Sears home services again. Has anyone else had this issue? We finally got in touch with the distric manager for best buy where we originally purchased, and after some more reps coming out, finally replaced the dishwasher. However, t

Removed rear toe-plate to detect leak. Leak caused by broken drain hose. Hose replaced. To do this the unit was tipped forward onto its front door to allow access to the base area. Water allowed to drain out the front base area. Unit re-assembled but now does not switch on. Water connected. Base-plate dry. No water was detected at upper-front control panel. Power is connected and reaching unit ( multi-meter test ). Tipping the unit forward seems to be the cause. Is there any fuse,

We have a 6 year old Jenn Air dishwasher model JDB2150AWP We had a cracked door close unit which we replaced but got a short while restoring connections I am wondering if there is an internal circuit breaker, relay or fuse on these machines that we need to check and possibly replace since we cannot get it to run at all. No power or lights at all. I believe all connections are secure and we replaced the door close unit with new parts.

Whats the secret to getting the chopper unit back into the unit. There Tip was to use a small wrench or pair of pliers to compress the spring and align the unit. However , even with it fully compressed , the angle is right and it dosen't want to line up . I know to get it off, they advised to pull up. So it must be the opposite to replace it. I recently had the e4 error code on my new world dw60 dishwasher. I have since opened it up and replaced the heater element, which appears to have resolved that issue. However, in the process of doing this I incorrectly installed the flood switch back into place, meaning that it was in its closed position (i.e. the position it would be when activated by a flooded base) when I went to turn the dishwasher back on. I have since opened it back up and correctly installed the flood switch, but I ca

I have a Kitchenaid dishwasher model KUDS01FLSS2. I finished replacing the door balancer cord and started the dw up and it started leaking underneath from the bottom somewhere around the middle of the unit. This is when it first enters the cycle, so there is no water inside. I pulled the DW out and look at the hoses and components under the DW and all looks in good shape and could not detect any cracks. However noticed that one of the hoses (not sure what the hose is called) that connects to the

Assembly I recently purchased a pressure washer from Home Depot. It is rated at 3100 psi. It is a comet pump with a honda gas engine. The assembly instructions recommended that I remove the plug on the top of the pump and replace it with a vented plug that was provided. However, none of the other enclosed manuls talk about the vented plug. Am I reading the assembly insturctions correctly. Should there be a vented plug ?

HI your machine would have been delivered with a blanking plug in the pump. You will need to remove this and fit a vented pump or your pump will build up too much pressure inside. ... Comet BXD2527 Pressure Washer Pump
