Hi GF,

Unless there is a leak at the sink gasket that makes it appear that the unit is leaking from the bottom, it's probably the main seal in the unit. It's generally not worth it to attempt disassembly and repair, especially if the unit is 10 years old or older.

Just remember to make sure the power is off before you attempt any
troubleshooting or replacement.

I have a whirlpool gold model GU1500 diswasher. I own a GE Profile GSD 4330 dishwasher. Recently it has been leaving some water in the bottom of the tub. This water accumulates over time until the entire bottom is filled. I have checked the air vent, garbage disposal unit and the filter in the bottom of the dishwasher (which was filthy). I cleaned the filter and everything else looks okay, but it is still leaving some water in the tub.
