Having problems with your GE Dishwashers ?

I have a pot scrubber 600. I just replaced the water line. I had to disconnect the electric wire to service the unit. Everything is running except the water doesn't fill, and there is an awful buzz from the actuator for the water discharge. What is going on? The water valve is on but doesn't fill.

So tell...me...you replaced the water line why......its probably moot as to why you did it....just realize that the large majority of no water problems are due to a wire off or loose on a water solenoid valve or a bad solenoid....I am going to provide you with possibilities as to why there is no water....how to determine....which...and what to do...as well as a li9nk....hope it helps....

I would check your fill valve screen, where your water line connects tothe dishwasher, lots of times i will see that screen clogged, especially on customers homes that have wells.

There is no way to change the fill time on these.
Thereis also the potential problem with the float sticking if it is gunkedup it will not allow water in...see that it moves up and down freelyand you should here a clicking noise.....If it is not one of thesethere could be a problem...with the timer...I am providing a link thatwill help walk you through this problem in a moretechnical...manner...if you are not comfortable performing thesetests...i suggest you fore go it and let a tech handle it....

Got a lound buzz type noise that I thought was a bad solenoid on the water valve. Tub also filled up & overflowed1 Replaced water valve ($30), but now dishwasher wont run thru cycles or fill with water to wash--seems to be stuck on drain even though digital counter counts down. What should I check next?

My dishwasher was moved for kitchen rennovations. When hooked back up again it would not fill up. It will run through a cycle but no water enters. If I squeeze the rubber hose that leads from the electronic valve to the tub it gets hot indicating that I am forcing hot water through the line. If I pour water into the tub it will wash the dishes but at the final 6 minute point it will go no further, I assume because it is not getting rinse water.

Kenmore dishwasher. The upper rack is not getting clean. Even very light residue remains. And, detergent is left in door at end of cycle. The bottom is filling up, so I don't think it's the intake valve. Also, all the blade openings appear clear. I am noticing that hot water is not filling the dishwasher when I first run the cycle. Even if I have hot water running in the sink, the dishwasher fills with cold or warm water. So, I think this is the problem. What should I do? Thank you in advance!

I find it odd that the dishwasher is filling with cold water if the water is hot at the sink. It sounds like the dishwasher is connected to the cold water line rather than the hot. Check under your sink; if you've got standard plumbing, the dishwas ... Dishwashers

Champion dishwasher we have a champion freestanding dishwasher at my church. after the cycle is completed, the pressure guage behind the washer still shows 25-30 and it contnues to spray water. not forced by the motor, but more like a stuck open fill valve. if i turn off the water and run it, then turn the water back on, the valve is closed and does not let water freely in. butif i run it with the water on, it will continue to spray in freely after the cycle light goes out and you open the door.

If you turn the unit off from the circuit breaker will the water still run?if so the guts inside the solenoid valve are worn.you can call champion and get a kit to replace the worn parts and its not difficult to do.hope this helps. ... Dishwashers

Dishwasher cycles with timer, won't fill with water. Motor runs fine, drain and fill valves test fine, float switch tests fine too. Water pressure fine. I'm thinking the timer is bad and won't send a signal to the water valve to open. What do you think? The system here doesn't know what a GSD2030F00WW is, so I had to pic one with a computer board, mine is not that sophisticated.

D1876 Asko dishwasher doesn't fill. It runs fine if I manually fill the unit with a couple of pitchers of water. Likely culprits seem to be a faulty water level sensor or water fill valve. Any suggestions on how to proceed with troubleshooting/repair?

Our Kemore dishwasher is leaking water onto floor, and the water valve continues to pour water when machine was turned off, but is not leaking water now. Hello, I have a Kitchen Aid (model # KUDMO1T JWHO) dishwasher that runs the motor in all cycles, with water fill & drain working fine, but the pump is not pumping water during any cycle, as the spinners and the inside of the washer are dry when I open the door, except for the water sitting in the bottom. Frigidaire Dishwasher FDB740RC. Not cleaning dishes well. Just in the past couple weeks. When the dishwasher fills with water, how full should it get. When mine fills, it definitely doesn't go up to the element, and just barely makes it to the float switch (not enough to trigger it), makes it to just below the base of it, doesn't come up the side of it at all. Is this normal, or should there be more water. The Water valve has been replaced already.

My dishwasher works except is does not appear to be getting water. David psr responded: Most likely the water valve is defective or stopped up with calcium deposits. In either event, you probably need to replace the water fill valve. Not a terribly expensive nor difficult job on most dishwashers. Do I call a plumber, appliance store repair department or look for a local handy man?

I agree that the fill valve may be bad or clogged. You can fairly easily remove the valve yourself if you are somewhat handy and then take it apart and clean it. I doubt if the old valve is electrically shot but it is possible. Cleaning it out may ... GE Dishwashers
