Having problems with your GE Dishwashers ?

I have a GE dishwasher with the following model number: GSD3230F00WW. Last night, while the dishwasher was in the clean cycle, a buzzing/grinding sound came from underneath the dishwasher. I removed the access panel to try to isolate the sound. It appeared to come from a solenoid that was connected to an arm that opened and closed something. I am not sure if the solenoid is bad or if there was something that was preventing it from operating properly. I moved the arm to which it was connected

Answers :

The part you are referring to is the pump out solenoid. ( part # WD21X10071) When the dishwasher is suppose to pump out, power is applied to the solenoid and it swings a flap inside the pump assembly to divert the pumped water out the drain instead of up into the dishwasher. If there are no signs of water leakage at the solenoid arm, I'd just ignore the noise. Note: Newer models use a separate drain pump and no longer use the pump out solenoid.

I just installed a new Kitchenaid dishwasher (Model KUDE60FVSS3). After filling with soap, closing the door and starting the machine, it fills with water, waits a couple of minutes and then I can hear low humming noices coming from down below. After opening the door it appears that neither spray arm has turned as if to wash. This dishwasher was purchased new a few years ago and kept in storage as our basement was being finished. This dishwasher has never completed one cycle. Any and all inf

My Frigidaire fghd2433kf1 starting flashing PF occasionally. I would open and close the door and it would go away. It became more frequent until two days ago when the dishwasher stopped mid cycle and flashed PF. When I opened and closed the door, everything went dead and the dishwasher no longer works. It acts like it has no power coming into it. I checked the breakers and the wires connecting the power into the dishwasher. No luck. I replaced the control panel, but not the control board. It did

Myy kitchenaid dishwasher model kudi01flss doesn't start even though the lights on the panel light up so I opened up the door to look at the latch and found a broken plastic piece that appears to be part of the latch. Could this be why the machine doesn't start. The funny this is the door still seems to snap closed even with this broken piece but what I'm thinking is that this piece activates some sort of electrical connection that turns the machine on when the door is closed. My Miele G2430 dishwasher stops right after draining in the first minute or so after starting, and the intake and drain light comes on. The solenoid at the end of the intake hose then clicks and the light begins to flash. I applied suction to the intake hose to determine if the solenoid is working, and the valve does open and close. There has been no error code displayed. I cleaned all of the parts and filters referred to in the owner manual.

I have a Whirlpool dishwasher model number DU1055XTPQ4 that is not cleaning the dishes. When the dishwasher is working, the bottem arm is turning and water comes out the holes. The middle arm has some water coming out, but does not turn. The top arm does nothing. It appears I have a pressure problem. I took out all the arms and cleaned them, along with the plastic tube that feeds them water. They had some build up on them but not much. I have the same result as before. I took off the

Help! My dishwasher runs thru it's cycles but when I open it I find my second detergent cup still full of soap and my dishes still dirty. I have an older maytag dishwasher but have never had this problem with it. I tried the steps listed at this website for the same issue I am having. http://www.fixya.com/support/t273954-kenmore_elite_dishwasher The steps worked to get the dishwasher to "reset" with all the lights coming on. The problem I am having now is that after the "reset" the dishwasher starts to run a small cycle for about 5 minutes. Upon opening the washer, nothing has happened inside (no water, no visible movement of parts, no soap container opening). Upon closing the dishwasher and trying

Dishwasher Repair Dishwasher is a Stoves/Newhome DW616 Rotating spray arms do not always operate. This is an intermittent problem - will sometimes work normally for a few days then arms will not move at all with no water coming from them. Machine appears to go through its normal cycle. Some times cycle starts normaly and spray arms stop working part way through.

It could be a motor or a pump issue. The dishwasher has a motor that attached to a pump which forces the water up into the sprayer arms and during the drain cycle, it pushes the water out of the dishwasher. \015\012The motor (and pump) located beneat ... Dishwashers

Cranky dishwasher I have to admit my wife's solution is the only one that works. Our ten-year-old Superba built-in usually starts a normal cycle part-way through, at the wash part, without filling or opening the dispenser door. Therefore the dishes come out with the soil now baked on. Closing the door, selecting normal and start results in a pump-out sound, or at least just the pump running to wash the dishes. The dishwasher ignores any cancel button push, and the light does not come on over t

I recently had the e4 error code on my new world dw60 dishwasher. I have since opened it up and replaced the heater element, which appears to have resolved that issue. However, in the process of doing this I incorrectly installed the flood switch back into place, meaning that it was in its closed position (i.e. the position it would be when activated by a flooded base) when I went to turn the dishwasher back on. I have since opened it back up and correctly installed the flood switch, but I ca

Leaking dishwasher My GE dishwasher leaks when running a load of dishes. The leak seems to be coming from about the middle of the tub about halfway back. I can't see exactly where it's coming from, but it appears to be dripping right behind the motor. Could it be a poor connection? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Bob Engle I do not seem to be able to find the model number

There is a bracket on the back wall with 2 protruding pieces and an open whole in the middle which seems like the water comes out of it. My dishwasher emits a dead animal smell immediately after filling. I have a 20-year-old KitchenAid KUDS220T3 dishwasher. The racks are a little corroded, but it still cleans dishes just fine. About two months ago, it started smelling like a dead animal immediately after the dishwasher fills with hot water, during the time the water is being heated, but before agitation begins. The smell appears to be coming from around the door. If I open the door, everything inside the dishwasher smells fine.

Dishwasher, nautilus, doesn't spray water out the top arm? I'm haivng to wash dishes 2 times, and still no better results. I've tried opening the door fast during a water cycle to see which is the problem - can only figure it is the upper arm, the lower arm seems to have water coming out, can't tell if the tower raises completely up.
