Having problems with your GE Dishwashers ?

I have a GE Potscrubber 1230 dishwasher and the closing latch seems to close properly but unless I jam a piece of folded cardboard under the latch when it is closed, the unit will not run through cycles properly. Is there a down-loadable diagram that would show how to disassemble this mechanism and show how this works? I wish to attempt to repair. Thanks

I have a Magtag dishwasher, model #MDB6650AWQ thats not running. I check the power supply all the way up to the door latch and it shows that there's power there. However the circuit panel not lighting up and nothing happens when you push the normal wash cycle or any of the other buttons. I believe the problems is electrical in the door latch handle. Is there any way to check the solenoids which are attached to the door handle before I order a new door latch.

I have the same problem with mine. It is 3 1/2 years old. The repair man was just here and said it is the control panel. It will cost $171.85 for the part and then $53.85 today for his visit and then a return visit when the part is in.\015\0 ... Maytag Dishwashers

I have a Kenmore Ultra 15895 or 15891. It fills with water then doesn't run. It will continue through it's cycles, but stays full of water. If I hit cancel before it completes the cycle, the number 2 shows in the display and nothing happens. If I let it complete the wash cycle, it will sometimes start and wash properly.

Unable to turn off the delay start and the latch is in the wrong position so that the door will not close properly. Also, there is no digital display--it remains dark. I tried the cancel/drain, which didn't help. The machine seems to be running through all cycles fine.

Pull the open handle to open the latch up and try to get it to close. Disconnect the power to the machine for a few minutes. Run a cycle that you don't usually run. See if that helps. ... Bosch 24 in. SHV66A03 Built-in Dishwasher

I have a Bosch SHE56C05UC/40. The unit fills and drains ok but the circulation pump will not operate. I run the diagnosis according to another of you posts and came with an error code E1 which is a heating code. Why would this prevent the pump from running? Your diagram show a flow switch in the heating circuit which won't close unless the pump runs. A diagram of the pump circuit would helllllp.

Bosch SHE55P05UC Used it maybe 10 times in 10 months (long remodel underway) and noticed it didn't work properly. Powers up, but doesn't always fill with water...just "runs" until I shut it off. Or it fills, runs most of cycle, but the soap doesn't open, and I end up with a hard soap "cake" at end of cycle...Or it washes..with soap, but during drying...never turns off...and I'm not sure when the problem occurs, but that everything is wet. Champion dishwasher we have a champion freestanding dishwasher at my church. after the cycle is completed, the pressure guage behind the washer still shows 25-30 and it contnues to spray water. not forced by the motor, but more like a stuck open fill valve. if i turn off the water and run it, then turn the water back on, the valve is closed and does not let water freely in. butif i run it with the water on, it will continue to spray in freely after the cycle light goes out and you open the door.

If you turn the unit off from the circuit breaker will the water still run?if so the guts inside the solenoid valve are worn.you can call champion and get a kit to replace the worn parts and its not difficult to do.hope this helps. ... Dishwashers

I have a Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher (Model Number 665.15634) that will not fill up properly. When I try to run a cycle (any cycle), the first thing the dishwasher should do is fill up with hot water. But in my case, my dishwasher fills for about 10 seconds, then stops. Then tries to fill again for about 7 seconds, then abruptly stops again. And this process goes on and on and on. The dishwasher never fully fills up nor starts the wash sequence properly. Our moffat quiet 2 dishwasher has recently developed the problem that the dishes are not cleaned properly. It does drain water. We've opened the drain cover to check that. There does not seem to be a problem there. We've also started hearing a buzzing sound that lasts a minute or so between cycles. (Not between every cycle though) It's random. We rinse our dishes thoroughly before running a cycle. This unit is approx. 5 years old. Any suggestions?
