I have a Bosch SMU2046UC/14 dishwasher that makes some noise but will not start the wash cycle. I found that the noise was from the timer motor by removing the front of the door. The timer continues to run and but only advances until half way through the wash cycle where it stops permanently. Is this a problem with the timer or could something else be causing this problem.

I just moved into a house that has a Maytag Quiet 300 dishwasher. After about 2 weeks, I'm hearing a VERY loud, almost grinding noise about 6-7 minutes into the wash cycle, then again near the end of the wash cycle. It sounds like a motor thing and I'm hoping to avoid a repair bill right now, the cost of the move wiped us out. Is this something that I can fix, and if not, will continuing to run the dishwasher with the noise kill it?

We've checked the outlets/inlets on the bottom of the machine for blockage and there are none. The washer arms are free of any debris. The noise began about 3 days ago. Thanks for any help

Control Module? I have a GE Profile that seems to have a control module issue. I've changed the module and it continues to do the same thing...won't drain at end of cycle and begins washing right away after selecting new cycle. I have a new FDB520RHS2A Frigidaire dishwasher which remains in the wash cycle after I've started it. It sounds as if it is changing cycles but the wash light stays lit and never switches to rinse. The machine continues to run for hours if I don't stop it. We've checked the drain to the garbage disposal and it is clear. the water temp seems to be hot enough but how do I check that? Any ideas on what we should check before we bring it back to the store? Your help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Makes rumbling noise during wash cycle. I've pulled the pump and found no debris. It's been making this noise for about a year now. No problems with our dishes getting washed. Do you think the bearings inside the motor may be bad? If so, would I need to replace the motor and pump assembly?

The dishwasher only makes the loud rumbling noise during the initial wash cycle, not during the cycle when it is pumping water out of the dishwasher and into the drain. I found some dental floss wrapped around the blade shaft when I cleaned the area out. The noise is now less but it is still there. I am wondering if the blade got twisted or the shaft got bent.

My dishwasher is a Fridigdaire FDB510LCS1, approximately five years old. The timer/knob stops advancing at about 7 o'clock, somewhere in the wash cycle. But the washer keeps running. I marked the place where it stops and, on additional tests, it stops in exactly the same place. I can advance the knob slightly past this location and the washer continues through to the end of the cycle.

Washer makes a grinding noise while running in the wash cycle. I've confirmed the rotors in the unit are not hitting anything inside the tube. The noise seems to be coming from the drive mechanism underneath. The washer continues to clean the dishes in spite of the noises, but the noises are a bother.

You will likely have to remove the pump motor from underneath to solve your problem. Try removing the lower spray arm assembly down to the deck and check the pump impeller for noises. Make sure to note the position and placement of all parts removed. ... GE 24 in. Profile PDW7800 Built-in Dishwasher

Whirlpool dishwasher model DUB700XB has quit cycling. Fills with water but will not start wash cycle. Making intermittent humming noise unless the door is open to disengage the switch, even when on stop. No LEDs lighting when rotating the dial through the various cycles. I have a Bosch dishwasher, M# SHU3035UC/U12. After the cycle is finished, the water is still on bottom of machine, it doesn't pump it out, so I changed the pump. Now when it washes, it fills and washes, when the timer advances it dies, there is no noise and nothing happens, the only way that I get the machine to pump water is by lifting the red overflow lever. Only then does it pump out the water. what can be my problem?
