My WHirlpool dishwasher won't drain - basin is full of water. Machine starts and runs the drain cycle, but something is clogged. I opened up the bottom, and pulled off the drain hose to the disposal, and that had no water in it, so the clog is somewhere before the water gets to the hose. If I run the dishwasher drain cycle, it is not pumping water into the hose. What next?
The clog could be in the hose,or on up in the mouth of the drain, air pressure might dislodge the clog,or dissasible of the drain pan in the machine. ... Dishwashers
I had a problem with my dishwasher popping the breaker. I opened the bottom and found burnt up wires. I fixed those and now the dishwasher stays on and begins its cycle (by draining) but the water is not flowing to the machine. It has supply, and I just now replaced the water inlet valve- no difference. The water was working before the breaker issue. I'm wondering if it is now something as simple as a clog somewhere since the washer sat unused for a month; or, if it is something more compli

Our dishwasher goes through the cycle and finishes fine without water in the bottom. Then within a couple hours, water comes up and sits at the bottom of the dishwasher. Handyman could not figure out why. No clog in place.
Hello Sandra, Welcome to Fixya ! You've come to the right place. The problem you're experiencing sounds like (unfortunately) a common one. I have a hotpoint dishwasher model# HDA1000G00WH. until recently never noticed rinsed water not drained after washing/rinse cycle completed. water level just above the drain cover. i removed the cover to see if i might find something clogging the drain screen but found nothing. i removed the plastic water "return" line & it was not plugged. thinking about pulling the dishwasher out, disconnect the plastic line connected to the bottom of the dishwasher, then remove the "bowel-like" container wher

I have a DU8000XX6 series Kenmore dishwasher that won't drain the water properly. There is about a half inch of water in the tub and the float is raised (not sitting on tub bottom). When I lift up the float a little more I can hear the float switch make. I would assume that when the water is high enough the float switch makes and energizes a solenoid valve in the drain to drain the water, but shouldn't it stay open until all the water drains? Lifting the float while the dishwasher is off wo

Dishwasher won't drain. (Kenmore 3380957Rev A) It's been not draining that well for a couple of months, but then a couple of weeks ago, it just won't let the last inch of water out. --I can't see in the center area under the plastic to see if something is clogging it. --I tried running it on three different cycles to see if that changed anything (Pots and Pans, Normal, and Water Miser). Hello, I have a Kitchen Aid dishwasher, model KUDS30IVWH3. The dishes have not been getting as clean lately, the bottom is decent but the top rack is not getting very clean. Also, when I open the door after the cycle is done, there's a bunch of detergent at the bottom of the door and on the floor of the dishwasher, like it isn't getting sprayed all over or something. Don't know if I have to check the water intake valve or if maybe the sprayers could be partially clogged.

It appears that water is not running through the dishwasher or that the sprayers are not working correctly. There doesn't appear to be a clog. However, I did find a round rubber "washer" (I think that is what they are called) laying in the bottom of the dishwasher - where does this part go. It was working fine until this wash. The heating element works fine but like I said it appears that something may be wrong with the spray tower. Please advise Model number of Hotpoint: HDA3420Z01BB T

When my Bosch dishwasher drains water, it is overflowing through the little air vent which sits next to the faucets. Does that mean that the garbage disposal is clogged or that something is wrong with my dishwasher.
Possibly, the "TEE" where the dishwasher is connected has some debris in it. The blade of the disposal could be in the way too. There are many different things that could be causing the problem. I always just eliminate the air vent line. It isn't ... Bosch Dishwashers

Is there a filter that might be clogged in a maytag mdb7100awb dishwasher ? after mine is run there is still detergent (which is barely damp) in the dispenser, and the dishes are not clean. i'm thinking that there is not enough water force to blow it out. also, when it sits idle there is water standing in the bottom (which gets quite odiferous).

Brand new dishwasher, installed last week. When it is done there is quite a lot of water standing in the bottom of the tub. It has only been run 2 times since installed and both times several inches of water were left standing. Dishwasher won't drain. About 1 inch of water sits in bottom after completion of wash cycle.

Our Hotpoint Dishwasher Model HDA200X-73BA has two little white plastic pipe stubs poking out of the bottom of the dishwasher. During one of the cycles--(I don't think it is the drain cycle)-- some water is being released from one of these pipe stubs and then it stops and the other one runs some water. They each only run for a few seconds, but the water is just running on the floor. These little pipe stubs are about one half inch in diameter and project out of the bottom of the dishwasher about
