Having problems with your GE Dishwashers ?

GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you

I have a Kitchen Aid KUDS03CTSS3 dishwasher. Dirty water is staying at the bottom and nothing comes out the drain hose during the entire cycle. The drain hose is looped above the kitchen P-trap, although for a time it wasn't. I use a wet vac to get the water out but there is still water below the fine filter. I thought if I could get the fine filter off, I could clean out the bottom as I think that it's full of crud down there that may be blocking things. I can't figure out how to get the l

Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus dishwasher Model DU920PFGZ3. Worked fine until I replaced the insinkerator and forgot to punch the drain plug leaving water standing on the bottom of the machine. I punched the drain opening, and pushed the cancel/drain cycle button. It drained fine but since no water comes from the spray arms. I have removed the arm all the way down..NOTHING!! Some research indicated it could be the water inlet valve. When the buttons are pushed, it cycles but no spray or water.

Magic Chef DU4K is not draining all the water. There's at least a gallon of water standing in the bottom. I have cleaned the air gap assembly and drain line completely. They were even sanitized in hot water. I do not hear the water draining like it use to. When it worked properly you could always hear water draining into the GD. Now I can hear any draining. Again, there is no clogging anywhere in the drain line assembly. Is it a bad pump. I don't know where to go next with this.

My Kenmore Elite dishwasher did not drain the water out of the bottom after the dishes were washed last night. Hi - bought this dishwasher 1 year ago yesterday (it figures). Discovered last night that it hadn't drained properly the last time I used it (maybe 5 days before). There was about 2" of soapy-feeling water in the bottom of the cabinet. I put it through another cycle and the same thing happened. I only run it maybe every couple weeks. GLD4050 DW won't pump out at any time during wash cycle. Removed lower arm, screen, etc. and washed and cleaned out everything. Removed drain hose and cleaned it out. Reinstalled and ran again. At no time during he cycle does the water pump out. HOWEVER, if I put my hand on the drain pump I can feel and hear the pump running as usual at the right times in the cycle. My trusty Bosch s510 Dishwasher which has been going strong for about 17 years (at least) has just decided not to empty itself. I noticed the bottom was full of water after a wash. I emptied all the water out by hand and presuming there is a blockage in the drain tried using a plunger to unblock it. I have since put it through another cycle and half way through water started leaking out of the front. At the end of the cycle the bottom of the dishwasher was again full of hot 'soapy' water. Slow drain. My dishwasher is draining, but not enough to empty the water out after a normal cycle. This is also causing the rinse cycle to use recycled dirty water in the process. GE GSD4920Z dishwasher. Problem is that it does not drain completely at the end of the cycle--about an inch of water remains. After checking for clogs, etc, we followed a troubleshooting procedure which involves a hard reset (power off, then reset twice at beginning of cycle) and this procedure successfully drains the tub. However the next time that it's used on a normal cycle, water remains again. Suggestions?
